The amount of available content as compared to the amount of content actual broadcast via sattelite and cable sucks. OLN as previously mentioned has a lot of their shows in HD. HD bass fishing would be the ultimate for me!:D
That kind of stinks. I didn't know about the digipack mailer from the last one. I got Homer's head, and bought Marge's head this time. Sure would be cool to be able to put the disks in a box, and display all of the heads somehow.
Alright I have been doing tons of research, and have decided that the ol' CRT RPTV is still the best choice for my needs. I am looking to purchase one in the 57" size this weekend. Finding info on these is getting harder and harder it seems. I will be using it for 480p DVDs and 720p X-Box games...
I haven't really cared about special features all that much in the past. They still have no bearing on my purchases. I, as some of the others mentioned, care more about the show's quality and completeness. Having said that, lately I am watching more of the features. The extras and commentaries...
I love the show too. I just fear that the DVD sales will peter out before all the seasons are released. The last two seasons weren't that great really anyway, but the completist in me wants them all!
Well I already got this today. I have the original box set, and look forward to the anamorphic transfer. Zooming the old version did not look to bad really. I hope the re-release all of these. I will buy them one at a time if need be. I like the POTA films better than Star Wars or LOTR. They are...
This is very disapointing to me. A movie that relies on choreography such as this one is just a joke when you can only see less than half of the numbers. I wouldn't touch this release with a 10' pole. Sickening.
To me it is a good thing if the TV seasons are spread out a bit. I can only buy so many DVDs in a given time period. Byannual releases for shows I like allow me to buy more series while not going into the poorhouse.
I would bet that the processor in the DVD player is causing the problems, especially since you are zooming it. The player is having to process this, and it just might not be to great at it. Just a thought. I have never seen a Jaton player before.
With my new HDTV the prospect of all the double dipping for anamorphic transfers coming my way horrifies me. It seems it may be worse than the VHS to DVD conversion.:frowning:
