I am using 3.01 from 2.29. I still get the video distortion during moving sequences on my Hitachi HDTV. Someone recommended turning the contrast down in the LO menu. Right now I have my contrast set for -2. I guess I will drop it lower to see what happens Scott
Well I thought i had my problem solved with the video distortion but i don't. Played the hulk last night on dvd and it distorted bad in scenes. As soon as I changed my settings back on the player to 4:3 LB and 480p it fixed it. If i go up to 16:9 and 1080i...thats when it happens. I am using my...
Robert, I have firmware 3.01. I lowered my LO brightness and contrast down to -4. That seemed to help but it didn't get rid of the problem completely. It did get rid of most of the distortion. What are my options now to help correct this problem. Email me when you can. Thanks again for the...
Robert, I calibrated my tv to NTSC standards using avia. My tv is not an RPTV...it is a direct view (tube). I calibrated for brightness, contrast, hue, tint, etc. Then I started to notice the problems so then I went into the dvd player menu and started to make changes with the brightness...
Robert Jones, My hitachi 36udx10s is a HDTV monitor. I calibrated it using avia with my lvd-2001 in 1080i mode. My tv is direct view and I am using component cables. I see that Bob Bartlett is having the same problem as me. I did the tests in avia as the way they were stated and adjusted...
Bob, Mine is set to 16:9 not 4:3. Even though my tv is 4:3 I prefer 16:9. I would really hate no to be able use the 1080i scaling on this player...because that is what I primarily bought it for. I am sure there is a fix out there for it. If any out there has a fix for this please let us know...
Have any of you had a problem with the player when there are real bright sequences? I get major video distortion for the length of the scene but then it is ok afterwards. I was using 2.29 firmware and thought maybe it was that. I went up to 3.01 but it still does it. For instance...in...
Hi all, I had 2.29 firmware on my lvd and I noticed at certain points in certain movies where there were real bright sequences...the video gets all distorted for the amount of time that sequence is going on. I am watching my movies in 1080i...so I thought it was the macrovision being turned...
This was one of my favorite 80s movies. I have always wondered what happened to Amanda Peterson now. I haven't seen her in ages. Patrick Dempsey I see from time to time in things. But no Amanda!!! :frowning:
I am not getting those problems bob. The only time I see a problem is when I am switching and I get to the PAL section of the resolutions. Anyway, the only thing I am confused about is that I already adjusted my TV using avia with my old panny rp56. I thought this put the tv in compliance with...
Hi all, I just got my Lite-On LVD-2001 player. I got it for the upscaling to 1080i resolution. I did calibrate my tv for NTSC standards using Avia doing the contrast, brightness, hue, etc. I have the Hitachi 36UDX10S HDTV. I set the player to 4:3 Letterbox. I imagine this would be correct...
