Agreed. Onkyo makes a kick @ss system for the money. I have the predecessor the HT-S650 and I love it. Can't go wrong with this system for the price.

I am using 3.01 from 2.29. I still get the video distortion during moving sequences on my Hitachi HDTV. Someone recommended turning the contrast down in the LO menu. Right now I have my contrast set for -2. I guess I will drop it lower to see what happens Scott

Bob, Mine is set to 16:9 not 4:3. Even though my tv is 4:3 I prefer 16:9. I would really hate no to be able use the 1080i scaling on this player...because that is what I primarily bought it for. I am sure there is a fix out there for it. If any out there has a fix for this please let us know...

Hi all, I had 2.29 firmware on my lvd and I noticed at certain points in certain movies where there were real bright sequences...the video gets all distorted for the amount of time that sequence is going on. I am watching my movies in 1080i...so I thought it was the macrovision being turned...
