I just auditioned a pair today. Very impressed! This is the first pair of Yammy's I've liked this much since listening to very high end near field Yamaha monitors in a studio. The man selling them is trying to get rid of them for some other unstated high end speaker. The NS8's were $1000Cdn...
I just had the same dilemma and I chose the Yammy 1400. As per the Sony the 1000 and 9000 are using analog transistors while the 2000, 3000 and 5000 are using the digital. You wonder why, in their top model, they didn't go digital?
I'm looking for some speakers for my rx-v1400 and my budget is $2000CDN. I'm considering Axiom:Epic Grand Master (M22ti,QS8,VP100,EP175) Energy:C-5, encore or take as surrounds and c-c1, sub? Paradigm:Monitor 7,cc270,atoms or titans as surrounds, sub? Open to other suggestions. Also...
Read on a thread a while ago that Candians can order from etailers and ship to Canada without duties. Would love to save the few hundred bucks, but I might S*%# myshelf waiting for the thing to show up or worry about the waranty. :frowning: What does this cost and who do you use to ship? Any...
Can't decide between the Yamaha RXV1400($1200CDN) and the Denon 2803 ($1100CDN). Most of the features are the same but the Yammy will up-convert any video input to component. Any help or experience out there? It would be greatly appreciated :b
I just took a listen to the Bose setup and it too almost sucked the credit card right out of my wallet. Then I went downstairs and listened to the Energy Take5.2 and for half the money they are much better. I have only started to listen to speakers any other IMO are a better value.
I'm looking to purchase my first HT. Looking for a receiver first then speakers. I have my eye on the Yamaha RXV1400, Denon 2803, HK AVR325 and I am overwhelmed by the many others available in the $1000-1200CDN price range. Please tell me what others I should be listening to and what your...
