Left channel on NAD T773 not working?

I have a 3 year old T773 and it powers a pair of Maggies on the L&R channels, and some Polk audios on all the others. Today I noticed that I wasn't getting a signal from the L channel. I tried the "speaker B" connections, and same thing. R worked, but L didn't. Both rears, center and sub work...

Need some speakers for my folks- $600 budget

I'm going to get them a reciever and they already have a DVD player. My dad just got a new 53" Sony TV and he'd like to have 5.1 surround, and also to have those speakers sound better than the TV speakers. Any recommendations in the $600 range? Should include 5 speakers and a powered Sub...

Just picked up an NAD 773... a question

You guys were right! I thought for sure DTS was set on the actual DVD, as it looked like it was set as default, but I had to manually do it. You'll have to excuse me, I'm used to a 2-channel tube amp running my maggies... this is a whole new thing :-). Anyway, all's well. Thanks!

Just picked up an NAD 773... a question

Hi Steven, How do you get ahold of NAD tech? I tried contacting their support # on the website, and they insisted I talk to my dealer (who is only open for 10.5 hours a week). They said they didn't offer phone tech support. The DVD player is set to bitstream. Thanks, Adnan adnan1976...

Just picked up an NAD 773... a question

Steven, Thanks. I have made sure the DVD player (the new Samsung w/DVI connection) is set up for DTS. I'm not sure why the NAD will only pick up "Dolby Digital". I wonder if there's a setting or something that I've missed. Thanks.

Just picked up an NAD 773... a question

I have my DVD connected to the reciever via an optical link only. I tried playing a DTS disc (X2), but for some reason I could not select a DTS playback. The reciever would only give me the choice of "Dolby Digital" or "Downmix (Stereo)". I have my DVD player and the disc set up properly. Can...

    Dipole Speakers as Surround Speakers

Thanks guys. I actually have a pair of MMGs I use for music already, and am planning to add to them the MC1's and maybe Magnepan's CC3 front panel. I'll use a pretty decent powered Polk sub that I already have. My current HT set up is 5 Polk Audio sattelite speakers along with a sub and a...

    Dipole Speakers as Surround Speakers

Not completely familiar with bipole/dipole. Magnepans MGMC1 speakers (for use are HT surrounds) are dipole right? Anyone have experience with these used in home theater? Thanks.

    5.1 and 7.1 dilemma

Thanks for the advice guys... looks like the last decision to make is the Reciever (or amp/preamp combo). I've been looking at the NAD T763 and the Rotel rsx-1055.

    5.1 and 7.1 dilemma

I'm in the process of building a house, and as dry wall hasn't been put up yet, I have the luxury of deciding how to wire the rec room for home theater (speaker wire). My question is should I go for 6.1/7.1 or 5.1? How much is out there right now in 7.1 and is it likely to increase in the...

Integrating Magnepan MMGs into a HT system

Hi, I would like to use my Maggie MMGs in my home theatre system as my R & L channel. My question is would I need to use the Maggie center channel (CC3) to match properly, or can I look for something else? Any center channel speaker suggestions for under $800 new/used? For the time being, my...
