The connector it has is not an RF connector...it's the orange colored coax input. I guess he'll justhave to tough it out with just the speaker on the TV. Thanks for the input guys....
I thought there should be the red/white connection also, but there aren't any. The reason I want him to use the pro/logic receiver is because I gave him a complete surround sound set-up with components that were made on or around the year he was born. I'de really like to keep the receiver and...
My g/f bought her son a TV/DVD combo for X-Mas...and I found that it only has a Digital Coax output. The reciever he has is only pro-logic and has no digital inputs. How can I connect the TV to this receiver?
I used a Y splitter....so they are both connected to the same output of the receiver. The subs are both against the same wall on either side of my TV. Both are set on the same gain, and crossovers are both set the same also. My receiver is a Denon AVR-683. Both subs are 200 watt 12" units. I've...
I've recently moved my HT into the garage. This is alot more space than I had before. Even though I didn't need it, I hooked up my other sub as well. Both subs are identical, and are set up the same, only difference is the cable. One is running Monster, and the other just regular ole Radio Shack...
I used to run all CV speakers as well, and have recently upgraded to Kirksaeter speakers....and trust me....it's alot better! I've also recenlty gone from a Sherwood receiver to a Denon, and could'nt be happier.
Are you still using the same kind of connection? IMO, you should still be getting a signal even though you now have a longer run. Have you tried it with a shorter cable like you had it before?
So all you really need is a reciever and a speaker set up right? Let me suggest the Sherwood 6108 (130.00) and the Cerwin Vega AVS 5.1 speaker set-up (200.00) You'll be happy with the results and the price will leave you with some $$ to buy some new DVD's to try out you new system with. Good...
I'm with Neal. My cat sits with us on the couch and actually watches the movies. She has never been scared of the bass, or any sound that is going on. It's great to see her watching the stuff going on and moving her hear around to keep up with it. The vacuum on the other hand is a whole...
I too have alot of files that you might be able to use. I have all the DD and DTS files, as well as some THX ones. Also think I have a few more different ones. Let me know if your interested.
I have a Sherwood 6108 receiver, and cannot figure out when DPLII is being used. I can get DD, and DTS signals from my DVD player just fine, and one a few digital cable channels. On other channels, it shows up on the reciever as both Digital, and Pro-logic. When it is in DD or DTS mode.it shows...
I'd say go to Best Buy first, then CC. You'll find lots of good subs there, but Ultimate Electronics will be the place for the Velodyne. Depending on what your demand on the sub will be.......you might even get away with getting a KLH. Alot of people would tend to disagree I'm sure, but you have...
You could get a better sub, but IMO you'd be better off getting some good cable/wire for your set-up with what you have left over. Maybe even a good DVD to try the new sub out with.;)
