So you're saying there's no 'crazy difference' between running a standard RCA cable into a digital connection on a receiver? Was I duped into thinking that I had to buy the cable from Best Buy that read "digital coax connection" in order to hear the 5.1 from my dvd player to my receiver?

I'm also in the same boat as you, Mathew, and I would greatly appreciate a response for the 'mini to coax' connection. I have the Audigy and when I read 'digital out' I didn't pay attention and assumed it was digital as in coax/optical :frowning:
