My cable company (Time-Warner) isn't presently charging any extra for HD-compatible converter boxes. When I got my HDTV it was just a matter of swapping the old non-HD box with a new one.

I agree. I actually prefer the standard definition broadcast... I'd put CBS in first place, ABC a close second, and Fox a very distant 8th. ;)

Technically, you could use a plain old hub for that. But, you wouldn't be able to have both the Xbox and the Computer online at the same time.

Personally, I'm glad to see them trying to take back Vegas from the kiddies. That probably won't be a popular view, but the last time I was there, I may as well have been in Disneyland. Bleah. Las Vegas should be for adults.

I have my Xbox set to Widescreen for my Zenith C32V36 4:3 HDTV. It has a sqeeze mode (although it's only automatic on 720p or higher resolutions). The dashboard displays vertically stretched, but 4:3 games play in 4:3 and widescreen games can be played in 16:9 either through automatic or...
