What do you mean by with No?
Also, what's the Dolby 2.0 track for? Is it the original theatrical mix, especially for the theatrical cut in this set or merely for compatible reasons?
Kinda sucks that Warner has not included the original mixes. We just get a new Atmos mix, with new SFX in certain scenes. Remixes are fine, but FFS include the original mixes!!!
this for example

5/5 for all the movies? No way. Part 1 was a very minor upgrade over the Blu-ray. But it could look a lot better if Universal should've given us the unmolested 4K transfer. The DNR is not nice to look at. Part 3 looked better then 1. Still not a 5/5. Part 2 looked pretty good. The best was...
Seriously Mr. Harris, you can keep your stupid sarcasm!
It seams like to "criticize" your work doesn't result in answers on why i'm seeing what i'm seeing,
but merely ends in crybaby responses.
Like Synnove posted above, this was my understanding for the use of HDR.
I don't want movies slammed with HDR just for the sake of it. It's like making
a 5.1 mix from a mono source, that in the end sounds like shit, e.g. Conan The Destroyer.
So when I finally watched the Blu-ray of Godfather 1...
Lost highlights in the transition from the Master Print to BT709 or lost on purpose, as I showed in the example for Die Hard. No need be that rude, Mr. Harris.
If you refer to my "color floor" statement... I was referring to the golden hues. As Mr. Coppola and Mr. Willis said in the emulsion featurette, it was done/intended to look like the 40s and 50s. But I haven't said "color print"
I said the highlights are a bit clipped. This has nothing...
Instead giving that major sarcasm post, you could've clarified what I was seeing actually was.
The red shift in the blacks is definitely there, while it wasn't the featurrete.
And I didn't say anything about horrible.
Mind you, this was viewed on a calibrated OLED TV and which can reveal bad...
what's cut from all current versions, except the old german tv broadcast? have a look here.
mind you, the old german tv broadcast is a rarity on it's own. afaik before it's last broadcast, it was deemed lost,
because tv station switched to a new master. the new master was the same version as...
soooo, i just revisted the movie for the first time on blu-ray. what can i say, it looks and sounds great. but it's still cut. the uncut version was shown a few months ago on german television, which i was able to record :D
while the trimmed scenes are not that long or even special to todays...
let's just say this...
even if mr. lucas truly destroyed the original negatives in favor for all the s.e. of the trilogy, it doesn't mean the original versions are lost. there are mint 35mm release prints available. these could be used to release the movies on blu-ray, if nothing else is...
part 1 - 6 all need a proper remaster or even better a complete re-scan. then add the original theatrical mixes, drop the 7.1 mixes and to top it all, include the extended versions for part 2 - 6 via seamless branching. then add a proper re-creation of tmp d.c. :)
when inserted argo into the player and pressed play, i was shocked. i mean really shocked and after the shock i yelled "ben you crazy bastard, thank you!" ^_^
what the hell happened you may ask... well, for the first time in years i saw the good old 70's warner bros logo when movie...
god-dammit... wtf is wrong with you? why do you keep window-boxing opening and/or end credits? i thought we are done with this overscan bs on blu-ray?! the latest offender on blu-ray is marathon man by paramount pictures. i hated it on thunderball, i hated it on le mans and sure hate on this...
yesterday i friend came over and brought hudson hawk/hollywood homicide on blu-ray. i wasn't aware the movie would come out yet. he told me he got of ebay and it's legit. we watched hudson hawk and it looked pretty good. however the audio (dts-hd master audio 2.0 @ 24bit) is kinda weird. the...
make them better? how about... stop using dnr without proper knowledge and we wont see crap like goldeneye again re-scan movies and not use old hd masters stop cropping title sequences, e.g. thunderball, le mans prohibit up-converts to be sold as hd, e.g. escape from new york (uk blu-ray)...
