I think the point of that disturbing scene was to show that Ben is a compassionate guy. He could have hurt the guy but decided to be sympathetic. It further establishes Ben being on the good side...

I know the ratings were not great for the 1st episode of the new season but HBO played that episode everyday of the week. How can we really tell if it is doing poorly without adding up the total viewers for the week? You have to also take into account that they will make a lot of $$$ off...

I believe the guy that raped Appolina was not Scudder - he looked very different IIRC (had long hair, different face) We don't know if Scudder has the tattoo yet... :)

One of the last episodes of Season 1 shows Sophie having a vision of the tattoo guy raping Appolina, not Scudder. Also, this latest episode shows Ben apparently seeing a quick flash of the tattoo guy in place of Sophie when she is walking down the road.

Remeber the part in season one where Sophie sees the vision of her mom getting raped by the tattoo man? She thinks that is her father... If so, maybe he has some kind of power and passed it on to Sophie thus Apollonia tells Lodzs "She's the one".

Yes. Ben tries to commit suicide in near the end of season 1 by slicing his neck with a knife. Scutter appears and heals his neck and says something like "it is not your time..."

I am still puzzled by that guy. He is in quite a few of the dream sequences so he must be an important piece of the puzzle.

We don't know that. I saw Floyd about 10 years ago and paid $35.00 for a VIP seat, 10th row center.

It will be an exercise in patience for many viewers. Also, viewers need to keep in mind this film was shot with an extremely low budget and took years (I believe 5) to finish.
