Hello,
Could anyone please confirm (with absolute certainty) what disc # the Christmas Special is on?
Thanks so much!
Edit: Nevermind - I was going to rent it through store-3d-blurayrental.com but their listings don't make any sense because I realized that each disc is numbered by season; ie...
I sold off my dedicated HT rig several years ago when I jumped borders and moved my life across the continent, settling into a small one-bedroom in San Francisco. I went from a ~20k a/v hobby (DLP setup) to watching DVDs on a laptop propped up on my bed! We have an Oppo BDP-103 that's been boxed...
I was referring to all but more specifically to Holiday Inn I suppose, since it's the one I'm interested in picking up now for the coming holiday season... does anyone know if it's expected to be released Stateside anytime soon? I wonder if I should wait for a US release on BR.
Nobody knows?
I'm revisiting old holiday stuff and was also wondering if there's any difference in PQ (remaster?) between the old Anchor Bay Emmett Otter disc and the new Hit Ent. release. Can anyone answer that one?
Quick question but is the transfer just ported over from the previous DVD or did they do any restoration work or create a new master for the release? Is it worth upgrading?
Thanks!
These are all still available, plus I've added a handful more brand new and still sealed DVDs including: A Christmas Carol (1938), Christmas in Conneticut, It Happened on 5th Avenue and 3 DVDs of restored Famous Studios Casper cartoons from Classic Media... Plus a few more not mentioned!

Hi Sam, just sent you a PM! The total would be 14 as I forgot to include Lonely Are The Brave up top, though I assume you want this title. It's brand new and possibly still sealed. A great flick too! I've offered a fixed price including Willard, the Bill & Ted set (still sealed!) and the Sleep...
Hi Sam, If you could send me a detailed list of all the titles that are of interest, then I could make you an offer... From your description (all westerns minus Tombstone) I have the following titles: - My Name is Nobody (2-Disc Special Edition, R2 - Orig. English & Italian Soundtracks and...
They are all in pristine condition; some still brand new and sealed. No need to list each title individually as they can all be seen in the photos below! Please note that I will not bother breaking up the lot to sell individual titles no matter the request, as it's not worth my time to be...
Any thoughts on how a Panasonic VIERA TC-L37E5 37-Inch (1080p Full HD IPS LED-LCD TV) would stack up? I'm thinking of pairing this model with a Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 2 Digital Sound Projector...
Thank you Sam! In my searches, I noticed that Panasonic is coming out with a TC-P42S60 42" plasma... now that'd be really pushing the boundaries of available space in our bedroom and my wife would probably kill me, but I wonder if you've heard anything good about this forthcoming model? I assume...
Okay, I'm willing to go 40" for better A/V options... any suggestions in this range? I've browsed Panasonic, Sharp, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, etc. and have not found anything stand-out yet. Where should I start? Is there not a benchmark for 40" backlit LED's?
I don't see what your issue is... that is the max. end of my budget scale. I'd rather spend $300 than $3000 but I'm evidently not informed about HDTVs as I've had DLP projection in my HT for the past 8+ years. Your advice and suggestions would be far more helpful and advantageous to me, and I...
I just posted the following on AVS, hopefully this will help to narrow down my needs and offer suggestions: 1. Budget: $3,000 2. Seating distance: Roughly 7.5 Ft. 3. Size/placement limitations: 32-40" + awkwardly angled (diagonally) to the side of the room. 4. Uses and sources: Standard DVD...
No Jim, there's simply zero wall space left as we have cabinets, floating shelf units, framed art, etc. and large wraparound bay windows in each room. It's just not practical or possible. I'm looking for a slim sihlouette 37-40" LED that can rest on a TV cart or small piece of furniture (I'll...
I've poured over every inch of floor space and have figured out how to do this... I am now looking at a 37-40" display and would like the best performance on the market. I'm not familiar with what's currently available, but I suppose an LED is probably the way to go, right? Cost aside, what...
Hi Caleb, I just responded to your PM and am terribly sorry for the delay! I don't check these forums very often anymore! Please email me directly if still interested - thanks so much! [email protected]
Are there any companies manufacturing 37" Plasma screens anymore? I should also note that the vast majority of films that I watch are standard 4x3 aspect ratio. Should I be looking at LED LCDs instead? A huge requisite is that if I'm watching standard format source material that the sidebards...
Thank you Sam! It will almost surely end up in our bedroom, as that would be the least intrusive and most practical space. Why do you suggest that a "put away/take out" setup wouldn't work? I would be less concerned about it taking up space if we went that route as I wouldn't mind plopping it...
I used to have a pretty extensive DLP setup in my old condo: Digital Projection Ivision HDX through HD Leeza (scaler) with 5 channel Speakercraft 8.8 MT setup through an Arcam P7 and AV8 with a B&W ASW 855 sub. This wasinstalled about 8 years ago. I've since sold the condo, moved to another...
Thank you Al, so what I really need is a lossless media ripper, external hd for storage, and media jukebox to keep everything organized... is there any hardware that offers all of the above in one easy-to-use unit? Thanks for the tip on AVS, I'll poke my head around there as well.
What if I used a Samsung SE-506AB/TSBD 6X USB2.0 External Slim Blu-ray Writer Drive to rip all of my DVDs to a Drobo 5 or 8 Bay and then bought an Apple TV to feed to m HDTV? Would this allow me to rip **lossless** DVD's (menu, content and all) without sacrificing A/V quality and be able to...
Thank you. I was shocked to see that the unit I mentioned above (Kaleidescape) retails for something like 20k; that is outrageous!! I've been trying to search the forum for similar devices for ripping DVDs but have not had any luck or success with results. Do you have any links that could steer...
I have found what would seem ideal for a smaller collection - KALEIDECSCAPE DV700 DISC VAULT - however it only stores a maximum of 320 DVDs which is less than a quarter of the amount of discs that I'm dealing with, and it retails for around 5k! Does something just like this exist with larger...
