If the security detector at the store beeps on your way out ...

This irritates me to no end as well. I'm not a thief, but I have to be treated like one? They have no legal right to stop you. If they try to physically stop you, you can sue them. If this happens to me I also keep walking, I have yet to stop for anyone outside the store.

Best Buy Preferred Coupons Feb. 18-21

The coupon worked out well for me. We have a dedicated theater in the basement with a PJ and HDTV but I've wanted a HDTV for our family room since this is where we do most of our TV watching. I've had my eye on the Sony KV30HS420 and in last week's flyer it was $999. We went in Friday night...

Best Buy Preferred Coupons Feb. 18-21

I received some of these also. Does anyone know if they will be applied to weekly sale items? They say markdown taken from "regular price" but do not say specifically that they exlude sale items.

Ever rent out a property yourself?

I bought a duplex right out of college and rented half while living in the other half. I just sold it for twice what I paid for it 6 years ago. I could have easily kept it, why did I sell it? 1. I felt that it had made its money. It's doubtful that real estate prices will continue to...

Weekly RoundUp 9/21/04 Star Wars Trilogy (authorized sneak peek)

44.87 in Hilltown, PA. I have never bought a new release at WM and likely never will. I figured I'd give it a shot since I had something else to pick up. I went with CompUSA and 39.99. Rainman should have said "Wal-Mart Sucks"!

    IT Job Rant [Long]

Isn't computer and IT work sort of cyclical? Up when new technology comes out and down as while it stays the same until the next wave? I certainly feel for people who have to go backwards in their chosen career path but to me it would seem that in that case a change in skill set would be in...

Has anyone ever painted a suspended ceiling black for your HT?

I paid about $40 or so per box of 16 2x2's (64 sq. ft.)which I think was cheaper than most of the Home Depot white tiles. Not to mention paint cost and the time to paint them. Also IMO none of the "paint it yourself" black tiles look as good as the factory ones.

Has anyone ever painted a suspended ceiling black for your HT?

Check out ceilingmax.com it's pricey but works well, and come in satin black.

Has anyone ever painted a suspended ceiling black for your HT?

When you call the distributor, I think that 1728ABL is the 2'x2' armstrong tile and 1728BL is the 2'x4'. I have no experience with black traditional suspended grids - I used black Ceiling Max for my theater. I wanted to save the couple of inches in ceiling height.

My experiences with the Sanyo Z1

I got my z1 up and running just before Christmas when I completed our dedicated theater. I built the room for projection and painted the screen onto the wall. I used Glidden Misty Evening paint with a 110" diagonal measurement. I'm projecting slightly smaller, maybe 105". The result is stunning...

    Electrical Plan Software or Symbols?

I'm in the process of finishing the basement and building the theater. The building inspector here requires an electrical plan. Can anyone suggest cheap software that does this or a place that I can find the correct electrical symbols to use to draw one by hand? Thanks, JP

Do internet dating sites really work?

Those sites most certainly do work! My soon to be fiancee and I met through match.com (which by the way I thought was the best site, I briefly tried yahoo and the onion personals). My girlfriend and I are both intelligent, professional, successful, normal people who didn’t meet the right...
