You can set up a spare input with your music setup selected. I have my Aux labeled 5.1Mus. You can then simulcast the video from your DVD input. Unless you're using the component inputs in which case you can just select it the menu. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure about the various RTA programs available but I do know that the few I looked at had some cool features. Have you tried punching your RS meter readings into excel. It's great for graphing and you can also have it correct your readings if you plug in the RS correction table.
