$3000 to spend on a TV....

Hmmm... The funny thing is, she HAS the Mits 65513 & doesn't like it. she claims there is a blurry spot in the lower left corner, the place she bought it from gave her another one, and they said all the 65513's have that. I don't think I would go 65" at 14' viewing distance myself. Especially...

$3000 to spend on a TV....

It's actually ~ 14' viewing distance. Another caveat. She has a Gamecube & wants to hook that up to the TV as well. I thought of Front projection, but figured lighting would be an issue.

    480i/p confusion

WayneO, thanks for the help. Yes, I have an HD ready TV, & the DVD is connected via the component connections. Also, you are correct, the Service menu does tell you what mode you are in. I was hoping there was a way I could tell without going into the service menu. Bob__H, My limited...

    What does XBR mean?

The closest I came to that price was a 2yr old Demo XBR for $1700. I got my TV brand new for the same price.

    What does XBR mean?

Can anyone explain to me what XBR means on Sony TVs? I recently purchased a Sony KV34HS510 (34" Widescreen), and I was curious what the XBR version had over my TV.(KV34XBR910). Thanks. Mike-Post

    Verify a n00bs Pixelation problem?

Well, it's the DVD player. :frowning: I tried another, and looked great. Wife is not going to be happy that I am starting my "custom" system earlier than expected. :) Thanks again for the help everyone.

    Verify a n00bs Pixelation problem?

Trying to watch "A Bug's Life" yesterday, and getting LOTS of pixelation. I'm guessing the main source of a problem like that is the DVD player. (Philips MX3900D) It is a Progressive Scan player. Is that usually the only cause? TV is Sony 34HS510 w/component to DVD player. Thanks gang.
