Go buy the Infinity Primus 8" for around 200$ and a good subwoofer cable. I listen to that setup quite often at work.... And without going too overboard in price the Infinity will match up nicely, Polk Subwoofers typically arent that great and their excursion gets kinda bad after having it for a...
James, Regardless of how much your speakers can handle. Your Onkyo 601 will only put out as much power as the receiver itself can put it, no more. Like someone else posted earlier, your receiver will clip, or shut itself off so it dosnt blow and ruin your pricey investment. My suggestion is...
Albert, I'm glad to see your a fan of Harman/Kardon. The AVR 125 is a great receiver if you have decent or great speakers. As long as your speakers dont require something crazy like 125watts+ @ 8ohms per speaker, you should be fine. HK typically undershoots when it comes to their watt-ratings...
typically hp isnt too highly regarded when it comes to projecters> the same goes with toshiba> though im talking about the price range you have mentioned< ie> one thousand to two thousand> in addition< if hps projecters are the same design as their computers in the sense that it is highly...
That I must saw was one of the animes alot of people see before anything else too well, 'anime'. I havnt been able to look around too much but is there an area designated to anime discussion? If not, there should be one
Same setup goes for DVD-Audio, 6 -RCAs for the 5.1 multi-channel input. Goto Best Buy and ask the closest 16 year old salesman how exactly to set it up, see what happens :)
Agendrano, I have a 10" Boston Acoustic Pro Series which I'm putting in my car. I've heard it in a simple non-ported box for music listening to pre-hear the sub a few times before I purchased it, and given the right box and power, in my opinion it will be fine for a room smaller than 20x18, any...
If its the same onkyo dvd player i think it is then it functions more like a cd player than the panasonic does in the sense of shuffeling and repeating throughout the entire carousel> though if you want to go with the panasonic it allows you to certainly listen to higher resolution audio< ie dvd...
Does your Hitachi have Magic Focus [or MagicFocus8?] If so try to adjust it through there. I'm thinking its the Hitachi creating the lines your talking about, because its very unlikely your component cables would do that. If Magic Focus isn't a feature of your television I might recommend...
Just a little comment... DVI in my oppinion should only be used for HD Satellite inputs. Unless your TV has more than 1 DVI input, which very few do.... why use DVI for a DVD player instead of highgrade Component.... say MonsterVideo3?
I'm interested in personal experiences with the InFocus Screenplay 7200. I have been looking into projectors for quite some time and I'm in the finalization stages of making my home theater, well, an actual theater.:) Thanks in Advance
Just watched S.W.A.T. a few hours ago, was only a few minutes late into a preview showing for Theater Employees. Though I'd like to hear comments about it and see if anyone else agrees that it was a little bit too fast paced, or maybe a little too short. Maybe I missed something but I left kinda...
