They look very much like a Kef built speaker. With the coaxial mid and the super high tweeter. Hmmmm. Looks interesting. Would need to see a few reviews first though. :D
I am basically in the same situation myself. I own a yamaha RXV-1400. An $800 Receiver, 7.1 Dts, Preouts, blah blah blah. But I have pretty power hungry speakers. I have talked to alot of people about this and have decided using it as a Pre/Pro is fine. Now the dilemma im trying to decide is to...
Well I personally am a hometheater electronics installer. Thankfully its at a pretty high end little shop and not many customers do HTIB's. Unless you count the mirage omnistat systems. Acctually I have only installed 2 HTIB's. 1 Cheap POS sony system that sounded pretty terrible. The sad thing...
"SVS maybe overkill for your application." O.o Have you ever played Star Wars Battlefront with an SVS? LOL! The grenades sound like someones bombing your house! :-D
BTW These are the binding posts Im using. And the black anodized aluminum plates. Im Sooo Excited. BTW. I have decided, to keep cost down, and also because I dont like the idea of tripolars. Im going to plate off with MDF the 2 extra speaker areas. So they are just forward firing...
OMG! I love that idea! Ferrari Red. Do the top and bottom plate in Carbon Fiber. Get a nice black anodized aluminum binding post plate. Then do black speaker grills and put these on them! The other thing I'm thinking is I found an awsome place that has specialty veneers. I havnt looked to...
Well coming from a hometheater installer, Myself. It is worth it to have a professional do it. No offense but it sounds like you havnt done this before. If you feel comfertable trying to do everything yourself go for it. But I for one know that mounting and building that screen can be a pain...
Now Kevin that proably is exspensive but would look slick as hell. I have looked into house of colors paints when I wanted to paint flames on my wifes car. But my father in law also suggested this site. Link. But I do agree that veneer would be hard to do, and would be very hard to make look...
Well ron. Havnt talked in a while. I am very very excited to see these things. But unfortunatly I have aquired more dunlavy speakers. So I have no use for SVS's. :-D But I may look into them for a killer bedroom system in the future. They look like they would give my dunlavys a run for their...
Well for christmas I recently aquired a pair of very large dunlavy audio labs speakers. The hard part of them is done, the crossovers are built and the cabinets are built. These things are 6 ft tall tripolar hexagon speakers. I know tripolar is kinda weird. But I figure I have them I might as...
Robert I just emailed you. I would love to come see you stuff. But I dont rememeber you asking me about any of that. I do want to go to the audiofest. Arthur. I think it has sunk in. :D
"oh, and i almost came to your house and kicked the crap out of you when you responded to the guy asking questions about crestron. you have no right offering up advice on someone who has a VERY complex system. crestron is VERY nice stuff and you had no idea what it is or what its about. so...
You see this is the problem with the internet!!!!!!!! I try to come on a website to get some opinions and some advice and I all get is bashing. If I bother you that much DONT REPLY!!!!!!!! Then this post will drop off the page and we will be done with it. All I wanted was some ideas. I never...
Model SS-MF315. Here is a couple reviews on them. Here They dont sound that bad. Now the mid speaker, the 3.5" isnt hooked up. All you need is a cap for it though and it will work. They still sound fine. If you want them you can have them. You just have to pay shipping.
Well thank you all for your advice. I guess I just needed someone to tell me whats what. But as far as a few things go. I do need to realize that if I wait and save up I can get something really nice and be happy. One other thing. I have heard some pretty high end systems. Nothing...
Well I think Im partly the way to my first step. I found the speaker stands I want. I just emailed the company to find out if they can make them in the height I need. Adona SS4512 Speaker Stands Not too exspensive either. :D But more than $25. LOL. Hey at least I can make fun of...
You know what. You are proably right. Do you have any recommendations for stands? My wife wants me to build something out of light oak. But thats gonna be exspensive. Any stands out there that would work? I have a one year old running around. But she hasnt ever come close to the speakers...
Well first of all my original idea was to save up for the next couple years and build it as I go. Wich kinda gave me the idea of $6000-$8000. My wife even approved this. But I dont know if I can wait. I think the way I need to do it is to build it peice by peice. Now I want to thank you all...
Yeah the SVHS are suppossed to be better video quality. I personally use a Mitsubishi and love it. Its great for my son because it rewinds really fast, less than a minute usually.
Just curious. I would love to meet some people. Also if anyone has a tube amp they wouldnt mind auditioning that would be awsome. Jesse Colorado Springs, CO
Thank you arthur. That kinda what Im looking for is recommendations. I never said, at least that I remember, that this was happening soon. But since I am going to use my yamaha as a preamp now, maybe krell is a little overkill? I will look into the outlaws. Maybe I can find them used online. Ill...
Ok some of this stuff I cant help much with, but I will make some suggestions. Me personally I would get a 2 channel sunfire amp and run your speakers in the bedroom off of the 1st second zone. Then I would get a basic 4 channel or 6 channel amp and run it off of the 2nd ...... 2nd zone. :D...
