i have a sony portable cassette/cd player and was wondering how i can connect it to my receiver. The player does not have any outputs as such only the headphone output. I tried using my camcorder a/v output to it and hooked it to my receiver but i can hear sound through only one front speaker...

how does it matter whether the center speaker is horizontal or vertical ? i noticed that the b&w logo is fit in for a vertical alignment of the center speaker and the manual also says something like you can have it vertical..but i have seen in pics and stuff everywhere that the center speaker is...

is it ok to keep the center speaker ( i have b&w lcr60) in the tv cabinet below the tv or is it a bad idea since the speaker would be covered on both sides (don't know if that is a problem!) ....

my floor speakers are not magnetically shielded....how far away is the norm of keeping such speakers from the tv....?

there is some kind of a hook behind the dm600 speakers...how does one use it...is it used to hook it up on the wall somehow...and also with the package there were 4 white sticky cork like stuff..how does one use that..? thanx for the help

sorry a newbie question..can i connect my optical cable from dvd to receiver only to get video & sound or do i have to connect the analog outputs of video&sound as well....i connected the optical cable ONLY and i could hear the sound but no video ??

friends, just got my first home theater (without a big tv - so might call it home entertainment !) .....was confused for some time after hearing so many quality speakers...i was severely restricted by my budget so got for myself what my wallet allowed...i am really happy with what i got..setup...

tx bill...my dvd player is not a progressive scan one...i was told a progressive scan is not much help unless a have a high resolution tv like plasma and stuff.....maybe becoz my computer has higher resolution it shows crystal clear image...lets see if any experts give their opinion

just bought a dvds530 yesterday and hooked it on to the tv..i have a philips 21inch flatscreen tv....the onscreen txt of the dvd looked kind of hazy and so did the picture...i tried the dvd on my computer and the picture on the computer was crystal clear but the tv picture was not too that...

hi you folks with b&w600 series speakers can you share your HT set up....i was looking at dm602.5,lcr600 & dm600...have to decide....

is it a good idea not to buy a subwoofer...i was looking at the B&W 600 series and Energy connoisseur series along with yamaha receivers 530/630....the salesperson said that the receivers have some sort of advance bass management system and can direct the bass to the other speakers if you do not...

can anyone recommend some 'sweet sounding' receivers..heard denon 1803,yamaha rx-v503 ....did not notice much difference in the short time i listened to them...i have heard though that denon is much more light sounding than the loud yamaha receivers...is that something someone has experienced...
