    Cable choices in Toronto suburbs

Good luck with cable there. I know if it is anything like it is here, it's too bad you don't have more of an option. You're pretty much stuck with what you've got and you pay what they want you to pay. Both Canada and the US need more competition in certain areas.

Buyer Beware - Misleading 5.8 GHz phones

Interesting. I'll have to check out the manual on the uniden I got. It's the set's been nothing but great, but I'd be interested to find out.

    The Traveler

Hey - I'm about halfway done with this. Sorry to get back to you so late but I came in to see if anyone wanted to discuss and was glad to see someone already talking about it! The whole "off the grid" element is so strange to think about - is there really a "big brother" watching us all the...

    allergies!

I used to take Claritin for my allergies. I am allergic to mold and I get some reactions when the seasons change. The Claritin always worked pretty good, but I stopped taking it just because I didn't like to be dependent on it. I suffer here and there, but most of the time I'm fine.

Buyer Beware - Misleading 5.8 GHz phones

I've heard the Panasonics are good phones. SunRocket gave us the Uniden's and we don't find anything wrong with them. The reception is good, the features on the phone are fairly easy to understand, and they do sound pretty good.

Buyer Beware - Misleading 5.8 GHz phones

I have a 2.4ghz phone I use with my SunRocket voip service. It works pretty well, but I have nothing to compare it to because I've never used the 5.8. For my purposes, believe me, 2.4 is all I probably need. I'll stick with them until I feel I need to upgrade.

It's been a while. Who now has VoIP?

I was under the impression that you had to use the gizmo of SunRocket's if you are using their service. If you are having trouble using your own phones with a voip adapter, you could always just go with SunRocket and you end up getting free phones anyway. You don't have to go out and buy an...

Let us know how how it works out for you as you get it going. You may be able to fix the little bit of echo you are experiencing. Give CS a call and see what they recommend.

    Anyone using Verizon FIOS?

I may have to check into this FIOS. I've been hearing about it for a little while but never really found out enough about it to switch. I've heard that the FIOS also can improve the quality of VoIP service. Probably wouldn't matter in my case because the quality I get is fine anyway. Comcast...

New Phone or New Company?: Need Wireless Help

There are a lot of good, new phones out there right now. I think there are a lot of things to consider when choosing a provider and phone. Search around a little bit and see what kind of deal you can get on a new phone that suits all your needs. Look at the service plans and see what the best...

    All-natural products

Well, just an update. I haven't picked up anything yet, but a friend of mine picked up the Burt's Bees almond hand creme. She said she likes it so far and it's one of the 100% natural products.

Had a crappy experience with comcast cable...

So, in other words, I guess it wouldn't help for subscribers to write letters and complain about the fact they can't watch their home team play because Comcast won't show the games? They will just recieve a standard apology post card...

I'm flattered. I didn't even think about that for some reason. Let us know when you get all your equipment and get set up. Should be pretty easy. Be interested to hear how it's going.

Had a crappy experience with comcast cable...

Does anybody know the details of the dispute between Comcast and the Baltimore Orioles? Has that been resovled yet? I know there was a controversey where Comcast wasn't showing Washington Nationals games because of a dispute with the Orioles. Seemed Comcast was at fault, but I haven't heard...

Yeah, they are good phones. I don't know the model number off the top of my head, but I like the phones very much. They are compact, pretty high quality phones, especially for free! I'm not too technical when it comes to the home phones, sorry I can't offer you more. But yes, I do like the...

It's been a while. Who now has VoIP?

Yeah, it may vary from customer to customer. It also depends on the current phone provider and how fast they move in allowing the number to get ported. I heard a while back that some of the land line companies were giving people are hard time with it, I guess because they didn't want them to...

It's been a while. Who now has VoIP?

The amount of calling you do should be taken into consideration, for sure. We also do a lot of calling long distance so VoIP made perfect sense. Having a low minute cell plan and SunRocket seems to be working out just fine so far. Drew - did Sunrocket or Qwest tell you it would take two...

It's been a while. Who now has VoIP?

How much do you pay per month for your old fashioned telephone line, with long distance, and everything? I wonder because you may even be better off getting the most basic landline service with no features, the lowest cost they offer, and also getting a voip service. The total may end up to be...

What do you know, another complaint about Comcast. This seems to be running rampant lately. Fortunately, I've been able to avoide these guys for most of my time subscribing to cable, but I've heard enough complaints. The things I read last week about how the company addressed a customer as...

    All-natural products

Good question. That's what I'm hoping to find out. I just want to try something new and see how I like this stuff. Based on what I've read, and this opinion may differ from person to person, but I like the idea of using a product that may be less harsh or less irratable on my skin than some...

    All-natural products

Beyond the toothpaste and flouride argument, I did a little research this weekend on some products claiming to be all natural. I looked at Burt's Bees and they define all-natural ingredients as products harvested from the ground. They do list some products from their line that are 100% natural...

    All-natural products

...but is it true that some of the products that claim to be all-natural may, in fact, contain more natural ingredients than many other products on the market? My perception of all-natural may be skewed, but I guess it comes down to a matter of what products people prefer over others. The feel...
