Yeah you're that guy that spends $300.00 on HDMI cables that make no difference whatsoever but swears he hears a difference. You're that guy that would be humiliated in a blind audition. You keep drinking the kool-aid though!
Wow, talk about ignorance. The khorn isn't a great speaker? Really? It's one of the greatest speakers ever made. You can still buy used ones from the 1950s that sound perfect. Don't know how much better quality you can get. When the speakers start to out live their owners I find it hard to say...
Def Tech is one step up from Bose IMO. They sell their product by massive marketing campaigns, not word of mouth and repeat business. Go listen to them and then listen to other speakers in their price range from companies like Paradigm, Klipsch, Dynaudio, B&W and so on.

Don't give up on Klipsch just yet. Check out the new RB-75. It is an amazing speaker that will take care of your size problem. Go check it out at the Klipsch site.
Harman Kardon hands down. Harman Kardon invented the receiver. They out weigh everything in their price range (they are built like tanks), they sound much better for music than everything you listed and best of all they are built right here in the USA. I have always loved the warm sound the HK...
