    Your favorite KotOR bugs/oddities

Right, so, we've all been playing KotOR like there's no tomorrow, yes? And as well we should, as the game absolutely lays waste to the last two "movies" we got subjected to. If you want your real episode 1, here it is. However, as more people make their way through the game, it's come to...

Burned by a bootlegger on Ebay - GBA game!

Shrug. I'm looking at this package right now, I'd take a picture if my camera wasn't all fucked up (I'll get it fixed at some point) but this thing looks goddam authentic...Though it IS a digipack, so there you go. It's 13 episodes, though. Not 26. It's not Anime Cartoon or Manga...

Are you a core or casual gamer?

To quote Full Metal Jacket: "Hard-fuckin'-core!" :D I've got 6(!) active consoles, well over 150 games, and my fiancee, a non-gamer, has decided that spending 80 hours on KotOR is A-OK...As long as I let her play. She's never seen Star Wars (grew up in Chinatown, NY, immigrant parents who...

    Name this game please

I've played The Dark Eye. I'd pick it up if you're a Poe fan, but beyond that, it's a bit hard to recommend. Essentially, you play through a few of Poe's murder stories. It's a little weird because you typically have the option of playing as the murderer or the victim, which sort of kills the...

Burned by a bootlegger on Ebay - GBA game!

Occasionally, you'll get people selling the legitimate Asian versions as well, and these are still a lot cheaper than the local versions. Case in point, I bought the entire Hellsing series for 16 bucks. I was totally expecting a bootleg (and kicking myself for getting it) but, it turns out...

    Acclaim dropping support for Gamecube

Getting back on subject, may I point you all in the direction of the most recent Penny Arcade. It seems they agree with us about the Acclaim thing. Surprise surprise.

Some interesting Turtle Video game news: Two Gamecube versions?

I'm guessing a Fighting game and a Brawler? Makes sense.

    The Rumor Thread

May as well start one of these, as I just heard a whopper and want some public opinion. I'm putting this waaaay the hell out in left field, but if it ever comes to bear, well...The mind trembles at the implication. In a nutshell, HAL is working on the sequel to Super Smash Bros...

My fiancee played that game with something akin to religious fervor for three weeks straight, then stopped. If you see DeusJester on the ranking somewhere, that's her! Last time we checked, she was #6 overall.

    Final Fantasy XI beta?

If you don't mind playing the PC version, you could always import. It's been up and running for over a year. Myself and a good chunk of other people have been on and off it for a long time. Good times, but it's very requirement-heavy. I'm not sure why they're doing a U.S. only beta. Stress...

    Viewtiful Joe for Sale

Heh. Fair enough. Glad to see the interest, though. For those looking for some more info, I've been playing through the game a bit, and there's quite a bit of english here (meaning nearly everything). Cinematics, spoken dialouge, menu options, etc. are all English Language. The game...

    Acclaim dropping support for Gamecube

Oh yeah, I know. What I should have explained is that Nintendo can loose Acclaim - in fact, good riddance. If they loose Capcom, they're screwed, with the implication that Capcom would be the last to leave and they'd be up the creek for good. You're absolutely right, though. Capcom...

    Viewtiful Joe for Sale

I've got a few leftover copies of the Japanese GameCube title Viewtiful Joe, if anyone wants to snag one. They're brand new and in the shrinkwrap. It's a Japanese import title. It works perfectly on a US GameCube using the Freeloader boot disk, which can be bought from any Electronics...

    Acclaim dropping support for Gamecube

Or just bring up the woes of the industry in general. As far as Nintendo's GC woes go... To bottom-line it, none of us know for sure. Who here works for Nintendo, has access to this information, and knows for certain what's retoric, what their numbers actually are, and how they plan on...

I liked the Duke just fine, to toss my opinion onto the pile here. I've got pretty big hands, but my younger (by 5 years) brother had zero problems with it - preferred it, even - and he was (and still is) quite a bit shorter than I am. I stil use it for Halo. And Jeff, coming from a...

The Best Dreamcast Game I've Never Heard Of

Joel, I'm a licensed reseller (which costs all of $10 to file for in Rhode Island, it turns out) and I pick my stuff up from National Console Support and a guy in Japan I went to school with. They're great to work with and can find just about everything.

I'll second Mars Matrix, and toss in Ikaruga to boot. Are you into fighters? If so, DC is your system. I suggest: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (which is FANTASTIC.) King of Fighters 2002 Last Blade 2: Heart of the Samurai Guilty Gear X Vampire Chronicle (a.k.a. Darkstalkers -...

    Acclaim dropping support for Gamecube

Exactly. I love Nintendo games to death, and they hold arguably the most revered franchises in the entirety of gaming. They also have a tendancy to sound like the Iraqi info minister most of the time. "Nobody cares about online play! They want GBA connectivity! Microsoft has a failing...

Phantom Console, beta testing, anyone heard of this?

I think they think they're legitimate, but nobody else is going to. The website is nice, but it doesn't actually say anything. I've seen some pretty nice flash animations before, and it's not enough to convince me.

Phantom Console, beta testing, anyone heard of this?

Nevermind that the entire process is pretty goddam shady to begin with. I have a perfectly fine resume, but what the hell do they want it for? I'm beta testing their console, not looking for a job. They don't need to know where I worked, what my education level is, and what my job aspects are to...

Mace Griffin...the early opinions are in...damn...

Nah, I disagree! Big names usually mean GOOD things. Even shitty games can be spiced up by decent voice acting (See anything with Bruce Cambell in it.) With big names behind the mike, at least you know you're not getting Sega's janitorial staff instead.
