The thing is I had already powered the Axiom M80ti's with a cheaper reciever with much better results. I had previously used the pioneer's digital reciever which is about $250 or so at best buy. I thought the H/K would be a step up, however I think it might be because the Axioms are 4 ohm and...
I just bought the H/K DPR 1001 for my Axiom M80ti's. I am not real happy with the reciever, hopefully I can get some help here. When I am playing a CD on my pioneer 563a and if I turn the volume past -20dB, I usually hear a cracking, distorted noise, usually in the high volumes. When I am...
Adire has come up with a new Subwoofer motor. One that has BLOWN me away with it's potential SPL. About 80 mm one way linear X-max. This is one sub motor to recognize with. Read about it here: http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/Dan/Parthenon/ 121dB reference volume NAKED, without a box. This sub...
This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to bi-amp a pair of axiom m80ti's with this reciever, and run in stereo mode (90x2 and then bi-amped)?
This may not be what you are looking for, but at $400 retail, the Klipsch ProMedia Ultimate 5.1 (computer speakers, just released) is GREAT for the price. I can get them for under $300 with my discount at Best Buy though ;)
I am getting my hk 7200 from harmanaudio on ebay.com not sure if he is an authorized dealer though (probably not). But he claims factory warranties on all products.
Just wondering if this H/K is true to it's power rattings. It looks like they cheaped out on this one: "All Channels: 50 Watts per channel @ 8 Ohms, 1kHz, 0.19% THD" 50 watts in a single frequency with .19% THD? That doesn't sound like the normal power rattings they give. They usualy rate...
My room is about 13x13x9 (around 1,500cuft). I would try both out, but my credit card has a $1,000 limit :frowning: , I guess I will have to save up enough money to buy both at once, but I'd like to hear people's opinions on this matter anyways.
The white pages in ascend's website state a 4 ohm impedence load: http://www.ascendacoustics.com/Main/...0_tech_web.pdf When we compare 6 drivers per speaker to 2 drivers per speaker in this case, does the more drivers make for a better sound, or just a louder sound. That's one of the main...
I know this does not sound like a fair fight ($328/pair vs $1,100/pair), but with all the raving reviews about the CBM-170 performing as good as or better than speakers costing 2-3x the price tag, I think it's time to set it straight. To be more fair to the CBM-170, I'd like the comparison to...
APC to me is more than music, they do such a good job captureing things for me. I listen to Mer De Noms everyday, I bought this new album the day it came out and have been listening to it constantly. When I went to the APC concert 7/28 in dallas I was blown away by what was goign to come out...
Not sure if it has many pipe organs, but the Blue Man Group album is a good cd to test it out on. Plus a lot of the songs on the new A Perfect Circle album is great too.
Yes, I have listened to many speakers, and I am going to go with Energy Connisseur series. I got a deal for a pair of C-5's, the C-C1, and a denon AVR-3803 from the local dealer over here for $1800 total.
I intend to hook up 2 Aura Pro Bass Shakers into my home theater set-up sometime. I was wondering, is there any way to make use out of the 6th amp channel on my marantz to power these shakers? I know that it is a rear-channel so there won't be much bass, but that is why the SVS comes into play...
I lost the bid on the Axiom speakers anyways, I guess I should pay more attention next time! All their other speakers were 8 ohm that I looked at, so I just assumed. I may look into that NAD or an Outlaw950/7100 combo (it's like $1800)
Sorry Dennis, I won't be able to purchase thoose 5 DVD's now. I talked it over with Rachel (WAF) and she says I should use my money in better ways... bah.
