Looks like this new Denon will be giving the Yamaha 1400 a run for the money :D.

Looks very similar to the 3805, with the auto eq, the new 200Mhz SHARC processor, and accommodations for 3 component inputs. Differences look like slightly less power, no DDSC, AL24 only on the front 2 channels (like the 3803), and a remote like the 2803. I'm sure there are some others too:D.

I thought the DAC's for the 3803/3805 were unchanged :confused:?

I used my old Denon AVR-2700 remote to "learn" the video select function on to the 3803 remote. Works fine:).

I purchased a an AVR-1603 last month at 6ave.com and they upgraded the unit to an AVR1604:D. I think they are going for $245.06 delivered right now. Brand new with factory warranty.

James, I had purchased an AVR-1603 off the 6ave website a month or so ago and they sent me an AVR-1604 :D. I have a feeling they are giving the same deals on the 1803 to 1804 and 2802 to 2803 models as well. I certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

I have a DCM-370 that lights up green below the HDCD lettering (above the remote sencor) when a HDCD disc is played. I belive they are the same units, with the addition of MP3 decoding on the DCM-380. Hopes this helps.....

The Denon 3803 also has this offset for the 6 channel input. I think it +5,+10, or +15 db's.
