Ok, the Toshiba SD-5980 is a pretty damn good player! I've read a ton of complaints about the 5960 and the 5970. I can say that I haven't found any of the same issues with this player. Further more, it looks pretty darn good even with the included HDMI cable that Toshiba gives you!

I was gonna buy a Panasonic EDTV plasma, but not now. Seems that even with the new technology that helps agains burn-in, burn-in still happens!! I'll play it safe and buy an LCD and sacrifice 7"-11" for the same price. P.S. I play a ton of video games in marathon sessions.
