Got the Component to SVGA adapter for the Infocus X1 and a PSX2 to component cable. Any idea how to get this to work? Does the Playstation only do 480i? (So I guess I'd have to go through the s-video input). Anyone had this problem? Cheers.
Yep, I'm still unsure on the whole Bi-wire thing. This is the best stereo kit I've bought so far, especially the speakers and I didn't see much difference at all last night (I tried it blind) Maybe I'll become more attuned, or the speakers break in more, but I doubt it. Still, it kicks arse big...
OK, biwired out of the regular 'A' outputs and left the 'B' well alone. Speakers are still breaking and in sound better and better each day. Once they've settled down I'll compare the bi-wire with single cable to see whether it really makes much of a difference, though I'm pretty sure it won't...
I'm running an infocus X1. Funny thing is first time I booted up with the PJ turned on and is recognised a 480p signal from the computer as it was booting. Now I can only get it recognise 480p when I change to full screen mode playing visualisations in windows madia player (somehting about...
I'm only getting 800x600 too. Display properties in XP is letting me set 1024x768 and the PJ is recognising it but only showing an 800 x 600 chunk of the screen. Also, I'm having some confustion about 480p. Sometimes (e.g. visualizations on windows media player) it recognises a 480p siganl and...
I'm about to wire up a Yammy 2300 to a pair of Kef Q5's. I could Bi-wire in the normal sense which is pretty straight forward (1 output on amp to the two separate inputs on the speaker x4) or I could use the Main A + B outs on the amp as separate circuits (A=Hi B=Lo to Hi/Lo on Spkrs). Is there...
So I remember I managed to download some PC software for controlling Yamaha Receivers through their RS232C connection, now I can't find it on their website (I think I stumbled across it by accident). Does anyone know if it still exists? I really don't want to program it myself.
I'm about to start using my PC as my AV source. So, the sound is going optically to my amp (no problem there) but I have a number of visuals options. I've just bought a projector with S-video inputs which also takes 480i. I can run s-video or component cable from my video card (Radeon 8500)...
I'm in Nob Hill (lower) at the moment but may be moving to a larger place more suited to my HT needs. Which dealer did you see in Marin and who did you use online?
I'm trying to get hold of a set of Kef Q's (5's, 1's and 9s) and my local dealer is screwing me around. I've seen a few online dealers (unauthourized no doubt) and Soundpros seems to have the best return policy, honours manufacturers warranty and is 'close' in case of a need to return. So, does...
