If the "Bring my shuttle" line was put back into the special edition as it is now, THAT would make zero sense. He would say "Bring my shuttle" when it's already sitting right in front of him. The change makes perfect sense.
You can just skip to the next PIP feature when watching it. The navigation was a little weird but I was able to watch them all in about 45 minutes instead of sitting through the entire movie. I do wish they had a "play all" option so I wouldn't have to navigate after each one. Some of them...
Honestly, I haven't even read the special features. If they only release some silly overpriced box with watches and other junk I don't want, then I have zero interest in this release.
I've been clinging on to my Ultimate Edition for years so this is a significant improvement in just about every aspect. If a tad of DNR was applied or is a result of the codec used, so be it. Looks very nice to my eyes. I'm not a big film grain nut so I won't be crying if any of it was...
If the Blu Ray is missing features that I want I will keep the DVD as well. What I do to save space is to replace the useless digital copy disc with the old DVD. If it doesn't have any features then I'll sell the DVD.
Cameron? She stayed in the present. Her metal endoskeleton was pretty exposed so she couldn't come through the time portal. Only living things come through (or replicated living things in the case of the T-1000) Catherine Weaver just says "it doesn't come through" but that's the reason.
All this talk about the different versions of T2 made me go back and re-watch the deleted scenes from the first film. I would definitely love an extended cut for this as well. They seem to be in good shape and are pretty solid scenes. That's really my only request for Terminator 1 Blu Ray...
Technically, only the T-1000 was specifically assigned to find John himself. The TX was supposed to kill John's Lieutenants since he couldn't be located. When she found John's blood, it then activated an alternate mission to get him.
So, many people apparently hate T3 because Judgment Day happens, saying 'screw you' to the first two. My question to people who feel this way: Do you plan on seeing Salvation, which takes place after the events of 3?
I'm assuming they will be 2.35:1 on the DVD/Blu-Ray's. I did a quick comparison to the broadcast version and they lop the sides off to fit the TV ratio. They appear to be composed for 2.35 to match the framing of the theatrical movies but are understandably modified to 1.78 for Cartoon Network.
Nope, the cd sounds terrible. Supposedly the vinyl is a tad better but still has terrible distortion. Oddly, the Guitar Hero versions all sound much better.
Yoda was digitally replaced in the Phantom Menace with the intention of re-releasing it in high-def. It'll come but it could take a while. It looks like the 3D versions were dropped so hopefully now that there's only one format it comes out sooner than later. I'll guess next November and I'll be...
Yes, I did and they said all manufactured DVD's should be seamless. They then asked me for some layer change times of the movies I mentioned. They said they all had a slight pause on their demo units. The customer service was very good and I'd definitely recommend the player to anyone who isn't...
Kevin, I had the Oppo 980H. Some movies were seamless but many that I tried weren't. I ended up getting a Playstation 3 as my new player. Oddly enough, the layer changes aren't seamless out of the box but when you do the firmware upgrade they magically vanish. I tried a number of discs and all...
I have a Denon DVD-2200 and every layer change is 100% seamless without a single exception. Unfortunately, the player is dying and I need a new one. I was recommended an Oppo player so I picked one up and while a few layer changes were indeed seamless, they were still there on most discs. I will...
Thats the international trailer and every shot shows more information on the top and bottom of the screen. I'm really finding it hard to believe that it's not just the open matte version on the DVD.
Jonathan, is the framing I have here roughly correct on the dvd? I find it strange that promotion videos show the full 1.78 while the DVD shows the cropped 1.78.
Yes, Jordan Ladd does have more dialog in the opening car ride. Specifically, the parts about her dad and the beach house and where she calls out Julia on her cursing. I also think the Wilhelm scream was added since I don't recall it in the theater and it really sticks out like a sore thumb...

Well she was the one driving and her priority there was to make sure her friend didn't fly off the car and to hopefully escape the maniac attacking them. If she went for her gun (which was on her ankle, under her jeans) she could have lost concentration, driven off the road and smacked into a...
It wasn't random at all. The hospital scene cuts to him taking pictures of them as they are leaving a convenient store. He was clearly targeting them ahead of time.
1. Are you implying that Marlon Brando will NOT be remembered for playing Don Corleone because the character dies in the one film he played him in? I honestly didn't realize that living at the end of a movie was a requirement to make memorable characters. 2. How does this still not make...
