could I see some pics of the monitor 3's? I've got a pair of mini monitors, in fairly good condition, acoustically perfect, but some dings along the rear + 1 minor corner ding on each.
Vince: most DVI solutions are now compatible, you don't need to do anything other then plug it in; check the manual, or call sony, but in my experiance only a few older models didn't work with DVI.
it will work perfectly, just set a custom resolution in powerstrip for the TV, then press play! I'd use PowerDVD XP for it, better S/PDIF support. You can also use the PC as a scaler, and send the DVD as 720p, 1080i, or even 1080p if the TV supports it.
And running windows on a mac is kind of stupid, take the hardware deficiancies of one platform, and then mate it with an OS not designed for uber optimized procs and you've got crap! Oh, and only the Itanium 2, PPC-970 (aka the G5), and AMD's Opteron/Athlon 64 are 64 bit. Since the Itanium 2...
Chu nailed what has just been the topic of a 4 page thread over at Arstechnica's A/V forum. Do a search for "line conditioning" and you'll find it, since I can't post URL's.

I would think that as long as the information coming out of your CD/DVD player is digital (or analog for video, especially if you're using an HTPC/nice DVD player), there really wouldn't be any difference, the signal is kept in a digital form until it reaches the reciever, so until the DAC's in...
Hello, my current setup is a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitors, driven by an Onkyo SR-500. I plan on stepping up to the studio line bit by bit, and I figured that the best way to start is to buy a center channel. Unfortunately, the Studio-CC is configured for bi-wiring (4 inputs), and I have no...
I've got a Gainward (highly desired brand, BTW) GeForce 3 Ti 200 (64 meg, not the 128 meg version) that overclocks to 250/250 (Past Ti500 speeds). Gets around 11,000 in 3Dmark 2k1 on a 2.0 Ghz Athlon XP. Have original box/manual/Driver CD, but can burn you a new disc with the 43.xx Dets. I'll...
