Hello, I have one HDMI input on my set. Does anybody know which source would benefit most from using the HDMI cable? DirecTV HD DVR box. or panasonic s77 720p dvd player. I would use component for the source that doesn't get the HDMI. thanks

I was checking them out as well, but the price was too high. I ended up getting a Sony 50' A10. I love it. DirecTV HD looks great on it. And the xbox360 is 720p, so no upconversion needed. You should check it out, see how you like it.

well, price is really what is keeping me away from plasma. Hey, being you are a gamer, do you notice any lag while playing games on DLP's or Lcos sets? I am considering the 50 inch samsung DLP, but heard of some having lag issues with certain games

I was at tweeters, and they don't carry the JVC sets, nor does harveys. The only place I have been that had them was BB and CC. They looked horrible there, but the only sets that look good there are the plasmas. Even the Samsung DLP's didn't look that great there, but they did look great at...

Jay, is the 52 inch the same TV, just 4 inches smaller? HD-52G786 In your research, have you noticed these sets to be too bright in dark rooms? Have you noticed ambient light to have negative affects on these displays?

I don't know much about this stuff, but I know you should immediatly turn down the brightness and contrast. And turn off any special enhancements that may be on by default. Like I said, I don't know much, I'm sure some others will correct what I told you, lol

Are 1080i sets pretty much not being produced anymore? Are these only in CRT rear projections?
