    Nick V, interesting read. Thanx for the thread. Funny how speakers and related electronics work. Not too long ago I used to think doubleling the amp's wattage output would double the volume. It would only be 3dB. Really not much at all. Greg

    Thinking on finally purchasing the Rotel 1075 amp today for $850. What do you think? Will be driving the Polk LSi series with this guy. Enough amp for these 4 ohm speakers? Greg

    Volume levels - Which is better?

    David thanks for the thread. I was curious myself about setting the volume anywhere from -35 to -10 to get fairly loud listening levels. I think I too will check out the SPL meter thing.
