FYI - credit card I purchased this on has doubled the warranty, and has so far covered costs of repair, currently they have paid $3404, and I am requesting they replace the input board( it is now working from the svideo, composite, and 15pin computer display connectors, but not component or DVI...
I would like to know if htere is a formula to calculate the receiver power per channel needed based on room volume. ( I mean just as a rule of thumb, speaker efficency, etc will complicate it.) Does anyone know of such a formula, I've tried searching for it here, so far, I haven't found it.
I have the Sharp XV-Z9000, but the Japaneese version. It is only 1 year and 4 months old. I have used it less than 60 hours, and now I have a problem with it. No picture, took it in for service, and they think it is the ballast, about a $300 part. Of course, it is out of warranty, which may not...
Do you know where a firmware update can be obtianed for the xv-z9000 projector, also, you you know a way to reset it. My is not projecting after less than
I have the "XV-Z9000" projector from Japan, note it does not have a "U" at the end of the model number. I was told when I purchased it it covered under the standard warranty. Now, with only a few hours on it,
I recently purchased a Denon 2900 DVD player. I have been very happy with it, except that there does not appear to be a screen saver function, you know, like when you pause it or it comes to the end of the disc and goes back to the menu. Have I not read my manual thourghly enough, is there some...
Thanks, I read that over. I have the Sharp 9000 projector with a deinterlacer built in, but if there is a better one, I'll take it. I understand sometimes one might be better in some situations, and not others.
I feel I would be interested in the group purchase it has been release and we know the real deal. One thing I'd like to know more about is the "Powered by the Silicon Image/DVDO PureProgressive (SiI504) Decoding Engine"? Will that be better than the "DCDi by Faroudja"? Faroudja has typically...
Thanks, the layout of my room has restricted the speaker placement into some tight spots, I don't really have a lot of lead way right now. But, I will adjust my levels. I really did a poor job of asking the question I guess, the link above was what I was looking for, I had read it before, but...
I glanced over a document explaining how to place your speakers using the radioshack sound level meter, now that I have the meter I can't find the article? Does anyone know the link?
Hey! Thanks for the quick replies. Reading the manual, it looks like I could have a 16:9 screen 92" x 52" or 106" diag., of course that would probably be too large. Maybe it I just had a couch at the back of the room. In fact with the project at 18' I could conceivable project a 133" diag...
I am unfortunately restricted to a relatively small room for my dedicated home theater. The maximum width it can be is 11', ~18' in length, 7'6" to 7'9" in finished height. The projector could be mounted in the room behind the theater and project though a hole in the wall if that would help. I...
