I am building a new HTPC and was wondering if it would be better to get a VC with 512mb of GDDR2@450mhz or 256mb of GDDR3@1200mhz. In other words for movie and TV apps is it better to have more mem or faster mem. Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't think there is much chance of ps3 launching at 300. Even with the recent announcement that the hard drive for ps3 will be a seperate purchase you're still looking at the cell processor which was researched, designed and built for the ps3 and blu-ray in it's first incarnation. Yep I picked up 4 cans of it today. btw a store in Round Rock TX has the Barton Fink and Millers Crossing SE DVDs that aren't suposed to be out until 5-20.
