Unbelievable! I had pretty much given up hope and just assumed I'd be watching s1-2 without seeing much of s3-4 again. Fantastic news and I can't wait to grab s3.
Good to hear that there's at least some life in Voyage DVDs yet. I won't hold my breath, but any news that Voyage may continue in 2009 is happily accepted. I just want the rest of my eps!
I've been so busy, I haven't been on HTF in ages. Thinking I hadn't seen or heard any information on Voyage s4 made me realize I hadn't checked in here in a while. Disappointing to hear that there's no information, but I'm not surprised. I'll hold out hope that maybe we'll get s4, but I won't...
I knew I should have bought a few more copies of Yellow Sub! It looks and sounds great on DVD. I've been looking forward to getting the new Help - can't wait for that to be released.
Wow - I never would have imagined that this would have ever seen the light of day on DVD. I don't think I'll be buying it, but I would love to rent it to watch a few eps again.
I have the original sets and won't be trading up. Especially not at that price. Sheesh, that's just nuts! I just repackaged the original sets into slims to save space on my shelf and will be quite happy with those for years to come.
Watched it when it first aired last year and I've been trying to decide if I'm going to pick up the DVDs of the series. Good to hear that the set seems to be good.
Excellent news!
Can't wait to see the rest of s3. Getting closer to having it all now. It will be nice to hear that Basehart interview. Considering the age of the show and how many shows have nothing in the way of extras, at least we're getting a little something.
Like many new features on titles I already own, I'll look for it in a rental someday and check it out then. No need to keep dipping for something that was "fixed" when it wasn't broken.
I've traded a couple of things in the past. I picked up Mr. Show as a blind buy (s1-2) and didn't really care for it that much, so I ended up trading it for some South Park that I knew I'd re-watch a bit more. If you can find some reliable folks to trade with, it can be a great thing to get a...
I was a bit surprised after having picked up the s2 sets for under $20, but even $30 seemed a small price to pay to get more Voyage on DVD. I just watched The Day The World Ended last night and had a blast with it. I usually savor the episodes and spread them out so I don't go through the set...
Wow - I'll have to check this out. I haven't seen any Flip Wilson since the show's initial airings. I loved it back in the day and would love a chance to revisit it again. Even if it's only a handful of episodes.
I picked up Remington Steele s1 for $5.99. I loved the show, but don't think I'd re-watch it all that often. For $5.99 though, definitely worth watching through at least once and I have a family member or two who will probably borrow it as well.
I don't often watch more than 4 eps or so of any particular show in marathon form. Closest might be watching an entire 10-ep season of Curb Your Enthusiasm in one sitting. Still, if I really wanted to, I could enjoy watching 12 straight hours of: Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea Star Trek...
Interesting. I hadn't noticed that, but I'll definitely give it a listen now.
I had a good time watching through Inferno the other day. As a kid, no matter how many times I watched it, I always got a little nervous when they had to pull the reactor control rods out. You know - that thing...
I've been quite happy with my SDs upconverted on the HDTV. They look quite good and the battle doesn't interest me. There aren't a ton of titles on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray that I'm really excited to get. My DVD buying has really slowed down of late anyway, so I just haven't felt the urge to make...
I'm just grateful we get the interview tidbits that we do get. So many sets are released with little or no extras, interviews, etc. To hear Hedison reminisce about the show even a little bit is a real treat. I wish they would include more, but considering that we did get at least something...
Thanks for the link. Whetted my appetite for some s3 Voyage. Decline in ep quality be damned! I want more Voyage on DVD!
For anybody who hasn't seen it, there's a HTF Review of the re-release of the Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea movie right here...
Thanks for the review! I hadn't even seen that this was being released. I have the previous flipper with Fantastic Voyage on the other side. As a die-hard Voyage fan, I'll probably pick it up to get the extras
Great news! I held off buying the DVDs all this time waiting for the supposed deluxe release (then, just not feeling the urge to buy). I'll definitely be picking this up when it arrives.
I hadn't seen the art for the new set until now. Not great, but it's not awful. As long as I'm still getting Voyage on DVD, I'm pretty happy. Can't wait to get this set soon.
The season didn't end all that long ago. With the title of the thread, you'd think it was over a year and we were waiting for something that mysteriously hadn't been delivered. September is a pretty decent bet, so I wouldn't get too worked up until then.
Thanks for the reply, Ron. I finally solved the logon issue, but came up with another one. Instead of switching channels, it seems like making any channel change results in additional streams being added to the first one instead of changing channels. Then, there is no way to stop it short of...
Great! Just found this and installed it. If only I could hear anything. I have an online account, but keep getting a Bad Logon from the Widget. I'll keep working at it and hope to get it working soon.
I'd forgotten about Basehart missing those eps. I noted that he was bandaged up and merely being a voice over the intercom and figured something must have been up for him to miss the eps.
