Running all devices to the AVR and then HDMI to TV is the simpliest set up. ARC is a PITA most times.
Also you can customize the Harmony activities to get the most from your remote.
Biggest downfall is Harmony will not operate ROKU devices. Still a ROKU streamer is the best overall choice.
All IMO.
I have never listened to the Denon 5805, however I have owned Denon 5800 series, 4802 and lower series. Regardless of the model I find all Denons to be thin sounding. I have probably owned 99% of all brands of receivers in the last 25 years. Most were the high end of the brand. There were...
David, What Allen said about the RC7 is precise. The RC35 sounded muffled. I listened to the RB75's and felt that the RF35's sounded much better. I went back last week to listen to the RF7's because I was thinking about upgrading the 35's. While I was in the store I listened to the 75's...
I originally bought RF35's, RC35 and RS35's. Was very unhappy with the RC35 so I exchanged for the RC7. The RC7 is huge but blends perfectly with the RF35's. With a good sub I believe that you could achieve satisfying results with RB35's. Good luck.
Gary, I can almost guatantee you that a different receiver will cure your problem. You need something with a warmer sound than the Sony. I use RF35's and RC 7. I power with Rotel 1066 and Sherbourne 5/1500A. I fel that music may be better than movies with this set up. The store that I...
I just purchased a JVC 44SL. I previously compared Panasonic 62 and Sony 715. I prefer the JVC in either progressive or non progressive. Best of all I paid $89 for the JVC and it does not have the chroma bug.

RobWil, Sounds like two first names. Do you have relatives in Tennessee? Actually we are all only related on our sister's family side and not our brothers like in CA.
Doug,
You will probably be happy with either.
I have the Sherbourn mated with a Rotel 1066. These are the only components that I have never considered selling and I have owned many (too many).
From StevieP --------------------------------------------------------- __OK ALL, How can the the 6070 make a good pre/pro without any adjustable bass management? And for that matter, EQ ? __________________________________________________ ________ Stevie, My listening is about 70%...
There is an old saying here in Tennessee: only believe 1/2 of what you see and nothing that you hear. This especially applies when making an audio or video purchase. You can get some really heated debates on these subjects: seperates vs receivers, brand x cable vs brand y cabling, coax vs...
As a previous owner of the 6070 I do not understand all of the chat about distortion. Pay no attention to specs, just take the receiver home and listen before forming your opinion. I have owned almost all brands of receivers, most of them costing 3 to 10 times what a 6070 costs. The 6070...
I owned the 6070 prior to switching to seperates (Rotel 1066 and Sherbourn 5/1500A). I have owned every brand of receiver that comes to mind. Most of them were in the $1500 to $3500 range. I still own an Integra 8.2 that is sitting in the closet. If I were to choose a favorite receiver for...
