I also have an Axiom system and decided to by-pass spades and plugs by connecting the wire directly to the A/V Amp and speakers. Thus eliminating a possible point of failure.

I have been to a few of the CSW stores and found out that they have a discount program. You may want to ask your employer if they are part of it. CSW give a 20% discount to these groups. If your really interested in CSW, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks Allen, You have bolstered my comfort zone. I will audition the Dahlquist QXs with more conviction now that I know the 4-ohm setting does not effect any sound quality of the receiver.

AllenLC I see in your setup that you are using the Onkyo SR800. Did you set it to 4 ohms for the QX10s ?? I have the SR800 and have been looking for a 7.1 system with 8 ohms. The only reason being I have no direct knowledge of how the receiver would handle the 4 ohm load. What is your experience.
