For six months I used a Yamaha 630 receiver to drive my Studio's 20... it was not bad at all, since these are amazing speakers... when i bought the Marantz PM 7000, an entry level integrated amplifier... the sound I got had NOTHING to do with the old one. These speakers deserve much better...

Antonio, sorry for taking so long to give you an answer... The Marantz MA 500 and MA 700 are very good options. Here in Brazil is very difficult to find these monoblocks, since they are discontinued. I have some of friends trying to get a pair of them, but it's getting more and more...

I agree with John... the better you drive these speakers, the more they reveal. Changing from a Yamaha 630 receiver to a Marantz PM 7000, which is the one I actually have, I just couldn't recognize the speakers... and as John said, this amplifier in an entry level one. The Studio's are plenty...

In my opinion, for the money you pay, they're very good speakers. For $160, the S26 is fantastic.

I have as fronts a pair of Studio 20's, which I bought to replace my old JBL S26. My receiver is a Yamaha 530. The P'dimes were doing nice, although I expected more. So, I bought an entry level amplifier, the one I could afford - Marantz PM 7000 - and the P'dimes revealed what they really are ...

I am trying to disable the center channel in my receiver but i simply can't do it...Even if setting the center channel in "non", the sound is still being reproduced by the center speaker. It´s true that the sound of this channel is bening directed to the front ones, creating a virtual center...

Any further comments ?
