Lucas,
The only thing that I can add to this is that I was a pure Kenwood enthusiast for many years. I now own an H/K 525 and I am not in love with Kenwood receivers anymore. I have not had any problems with my H/K like many people talk about. My only recommendation is to make your own...
I've had my 525 for about 2 months. Honestly I have never heard the fan come on. I have it in an enclosed entertainment center with about 4 inches of breathing room from the above shelf. Maybe I have'nt heard it because it is enclosed. I do agree that the receiver runs hot, but I have'nt had any...
Dan, I have had the H/K 525 for about 2 months and have not had a single problem with it. I have it setup in 7.1 and movies and music is nothing short of awesome. If you go with either receiver I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Just don't rule out H/K because some people have had problems...
I am looking for the best sounding/quality carousel cd player to go with my H/K 525. Looking to spend $350.00 or less. Thanks in advance for any help. O.J.:D
Eujin, The carousel is more important than the SACD. With that said I really don't want to spend 700.00 for the player and upgrades. Are there any comparable players for around 3-400$$. I have heard about the Sony 222es. I will probably only play regular cd's. Any other advice would be great. I...
Everyone, I need some thoughts on this. I have an opportunity to purchase a brand new scd-ce775 for 249. Because of where I am located I do not have access to all the big stores. All I have is my Military exchange and whatever they have to offer. Anyway I was reading one thread that said if you...
I have an additional question since we are talking cables. Would it make a difference in sound or video quality switching my current s-video and opitical cables to a "so called" better cable like Monster cables? A co-worker says it would make a difference, but I'm not so sure. :D
Curt, I have the H/K 525 and fell in love with it the first time I listened to it. I can't speak of Denon, due to it not being offered where I live. I did compare H/K to Onkyo and Yamaha though. (IMHO) I'm sure Denon makes a quality product also, it all depends on personal preferences. I have...
I have the 525 with my dvd and vcr running through the receiver, both are with s-video cables. I'm sure it would be the same using the regular cables.I do not believe there is any loss of video doing it this way. (IMHO) It still gives great presentation. :emoji_thumbsup:
I've had my 525 for a 10 days and have not had a problem with this one. This is the 3rd one that I have hooked up. The first 2 I had a problem with the sound dropping off if I paused a dvd. When I would hit play again there was no sound. I tried the Yamaha rx-v1300 and the Onkyo tx-sr800 and...
Tony, I have the HK 525 paired up with JBL nd310's. Let me say this, I listened to the Yamaha rx-v1300 and the Onkyo tx-sr800 (IMHO)neither one could hold a candle to the HK. I have had this receiver for about 2 weeks and have not one regret so far. :emoji_thumbsup:
I own the 525 and would not part with it. I home demoed the Onkyo tx-sr 800 and the Yamaha rx-v1300 to me nothing sounded as good as the H/K, but thats only my humble opinion.
I can't speak about the Sony, but I can speak about the 525. I own the 525 and could not be happier with my purchase. I tried the Onkyo tx-sr 800 and the Yamaha rx-v 1300, to me neither sounded as warm, crisp and clear as the H/K. I'm sure the Sony is a very nice receiver, and I agree with the...
