VGA card that truely does digital DVI

I don't recall any utility called powerstrip, what is it? Does it come with the ATI software? I went ahead and ordered the ATI vga->component adapter, but I'd really like to get DVI working.

Help with VGA to component connection

Are you sure the HD15 output of the line doubler really suports the signals that are used in component video? I have a tuner with HD15 ouput and a TV with componnent input, and I can get the two to work, but I have to tell the HD tuner (in this case HiDTV-Pro) to output a component signal...

    HD formats and HD-DVD

Have some questions: Let's pretend HD-DVD becomes a reality, using something like 720p. So, we have 720x1280 displayed 60 times/sec. Will movies still be filmed at 24fps? Does anyone see the problem I see here? I guess you can do the 3:2 thingy, but why bother? We effectivly still get...

VGA card that truely does digital DVI

Just picked up a Radeon 9500Pro, and sure enough, my luck, it doesn't work either. This may be a problem with Toshiba, or at least that's all I can think of right now. Perhaps toshiba's DVI port is HDCP -only-, and won't accept a plain old digital serial stream like DVI. I guess I'll order the...

VGA card that truely does digital DVI

Well, once again I seem to have a hard time dealing with computer hardware (even though I am in the computing field, go figure). I picked up a Radeon 9100, and sure enough the DVI is DVI-I only. Back to Fry's it goes! I guess I am going to pick up a 9500Pro!

Question: "acceptable" problems with a big sceen, did you know before purchasing?

I am having some minor issues on my Toshiba 65HDX82, and I have done a little bit of searching here, and I am wondering, how many really knew of the "acceptable" visual problems that come with a big screen? These are not major issues, but little problems here and there. It seems that most makers...

VGA card that truely does digital DVI

I have ordered a DVI-I to DVI-D cable to hopefully avoid any issues with pin compatibility (I already tried a DVI-I cable, obviously didn't work). If this does not work, I guess I'll use VGA-component video as a backup. I will probably go with the ATI 9500, seems like good price/performance.

VGA card that truely does digital DVI

Well, it looks like the ATI cards can do DVI-D. Now, I am not sure what they do with the various HD modes. I hope they support 720P and 1080i. I might just go pick one up at Fry's and give it a shot.

VGA card that truely does digital DVI

Hello, sorry if this is a repeat question. I have a Toshiba 65HDX82, and I currently have a PC-DTV HD tuner (it's great), and I want to make my TV a VGA ouptut for the computer as well (video games, playing music from hard disk, etc). However, I want to use the DVI-D input that Toshiba has on...

color convergance bleed even after calibration (Toshiba 65HDX82)

Wondering if there are any remedies here: I have a Toshiba 65HDX82, 4 months old. I can never seem to get the color convergence correct. If I do the nine point convergence, I can get that test screen perfect. However, as soon as I go to a DVD or HD source on the right bottom side, the blue...
