What classic cartoon or childrens shows would you like to see released on DVD?

Dick, I'd love to see all of those old New York shows too. They were the first shows I remember watching after school and on Sunday with Wonderama. I have many fond memories from those times. However, according to the TV Party website many of the kinescopes were erased or destroyed of the...

WHEN....will we see THE ADDAMS FAMILY...

The Addams Family was a much better show than the Munsters, which I've always felt was pretty one dimensional. The characters in the Addams Family were more fleshed out and had darker humor.

REVIEW: Adventures of Superman - The Complete First Season

The women's movement back in the seventies was pushing hard for men to be more sensitive and caring and as a result of that you get a more wishy washy feminized Superman/Clark Kent.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents Coming To Dvd In 2005...i Hope!!!!!!

I wonder why they hate their customer base so much? It seems like they're going out of their way to piss off the loyal Hitchcock fans and I would like to know why. All they had to do was to leave the show intact, as it was originally shown, with bumpers, ending credits etc. Other studios have...

    NAKED CITY: Box Set #2

None of the episodes have been duplicated from the single-disc releases. These are all new episodes. The single disc ones have pretty good stories as well. Walter Matthau, Robert DuVal and Jon Voight were some of the guest stars.

A Few Words About A few words about... Fox's September vault titles

[Fox has released, possibly as a distributor, as series of films available elsewhere, that are either licensed from others, public domain, or both. At least they're appropriately marked "original full frame edition." I hate it when I'm forced to view full frame productions letterboxed, so...

    NAKED CITY: Box Set #2

I'm sure all of these shows will be released eventually. Just wait for the announcements.

    THE FOG Remake

I wonder what John Carpenter would think of a statement like that? That's pretty harsh criticism coming from a second rate actor. He could have just said that we're paying homage to an already great original, but no, he had to make trashy statements about it. (I'm refering to the Tom Welling...

Available titles you want but have put off buying?

I've been wanting to buy the PBS series"New York" for some time now but its still a bit pricey. I'm waiting for the big sale for as much as 50 percent off before I dive in. I also procrastinate on many titles because there's so much to get and I'm limited on how much I can spend. I've been dying...

I hope Mark comes back too. I always looked forward to reading his posts about retro tv shows that I could never find anywhere else on the internet. He is an invaluable source of knowledge for us lovers of the old shows.

Warner sets: Hitchcock Sig. v Controversial Classics

You've got a good argument going Armin. I've really never thought about all those plot holes before. I'm so entertained by the execution, style and entertainment value that I forgive the minor weaknesses plot wise.

Blast from the past-- West Point Story (late 50's)

Maybe the $275 price tag is meant as a donation to help fund the West Point Academy. Eventually it will be released for a general audience to enjoy. The transfers look pretty darn good.

Blast from the past-- West Point Story (late 50's)

I just listened to the West Point March streaming and your right the latter part of the march is what they used for the tv show. I loved the orchestration and it gave me chills listening to it after all these years.

Blast from the past-- West Point Story (late 50's)

So there really was a show called West Point? I thought it was all in my imagination. I remember the theme music to the show and can still hum it now. I was still a toddler when it came out but I seem to remember a military band and cadets marching in formation during the credits.

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Pocahontas 2-disc 10th Anniversary set, OUTSTANDINGLY RECOMMENDED

this is one of the most informative and entertaining debates that I have read in a long time. Ernest Rister always seems to have an interesting take on the historical aspects of Disney past and present and a great depth to his posts. It's one of the main reasons why I joined Home Theatre Forum...

    Any shot at Wild Kingdom?

The Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" with Marlon Perkins. Yeah, I remember that show. It ran for many years and was a staple on Sunday afternoons way back in the sixties and seventies. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a best of set sometime in the future.

    Any more My Little Margie?

I remember watching "My Little Margie" and "Oh, Susannah!" very early in the morning back in the early sixties. I'd love to see another set come out, as I already have the other two.

4 new classic Fox titles due Feb 22, 2005 including A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a highly regarded film and a great performance by child actress Peggy Ann Garner. I've been hoping that this title would be released and it looks like I'll get my wish. Thanks Twentieth Century Fox.

    Rodgers & Hammerstein SE's 2005

What's so racist about "Flower Drum Song"? I guess certain people want to view everything from a certain era as racist. That's silly. It's one of the great Rodgers and Hammerstein movies musicals. Release it already!
