The Rocket RS 750 Signature Speakers Are Here!!!!...

Craig, I have read and respect your opinion, but I wanted to add a quick comment. Lung cancer is not the only consequence of second hand smoke, and is as you have stated, very uncommon. To quote the CDC statistic on that alone and claim that there is no evidence for second hand smoke...

    mini moniter to floor

I was recently wrestling with the same question re: Rocket 250 bookshelf vs 550 floorstander. To me, even though the 550 were a bit more than the 250 with stand, my money was going towards speaker and not furniture. I just couldn't bring myself to put the money toward a stand when I knew I...

    Under $500 Speakers

If you are quick, AV123 has some b-stock RSC 550 classics up for $499. They will be a bit above $500 after shipping, but if you have been following the review of the RSC 550 MKII in this forum, you might feel it's worth stretching.

    Small floor standing speaker shootout...

Man, this thing has gone into a tail spin since yesterday. I hope all the bad mojo has been exercised. It sure seems like there's room for more than one winner here. I can understand Mr. Fabrikant's frustration; all the internet direct marketers that have brought us these breakthroughs...

    Small floor standing speaker shootout...

Craig, Do you have a RSC200 with which to compare the RSC100 MK II? Given the size, weight, and price of the former I've been wondering if this one wouldn't be a better choice for me, but the lack of a vifa tweeter makes me wonder if it will pan as smoothly with the 550/750.

    Small floor standing speaker shootout...

Craig, If you feel that by Tuesday you could make a coherent conclusion, I say go ahead and wrap it up. So, Plan B. Based on differences in acoustics, source, power, and preference more detailed observations may overkill. Anyway, just this guy's opinion. Thanks very much for setting...

    Sub $1000 Home Theater

The Kenwood 7100 is a digital receiver that uses the same TI chipset for the amp that the Panasonic digitals are using. I'd take a long hard look at the Onix setups which offer all 5.1 or 6.1 speakers with that receiver for $100. Details here: forum.av123.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4205

    Anthony Gallo Micros

Ive got a setup with SuperOneXUs and a VS 1.2 up front, and the SuperZeroXUs in the back. The only difference between the SuperOneXUs and the SuperZeroXUs is the size and one octave of bass. If you are using a nice sub this should not be any problem at all. As mentioned, the SuperZeroXUs (the...

    Considering Maggies or Rockets

Russ, I'd be very interested, particularly if they are the 626 ribbons.

Difference between JBL NSP1 and JPL NSP1 II

OK, so I'm by no means an authority on the subject, but as I understand it the only change is in the speaker ports. They were previously oval to reduce port noise, but then I think it was Bose that brought a lawsuit saying they had patented the oval shaped port, so they switched to a circular...
