Well Best Buy wouldn't match their price. I figured they wouldn't, especially in our area. The guy tried like heck to get his manager to match the price. But in the end the guy even agreed that it would be crazy not to get it from them. No tax, no shipping, and not to mention much cheaper.

Our 36" Toshiba had a similar problem but it wasn't like these dark spoltches. The bottom portion of the screen was blurry with text. A Tech came out and adjusted the voltage and everything cleared right up. Hope that leads you in some direction.

Maybe it was VE I heard about. I have the S&V disc and am curious as to how it compares to Avia as far as video calibration. If I find a good deal somewhere on Avia I want to pick it up but if they are coming out with a new disc I would have waited.

I came here to post the same problem. Glad to know it wasn't just me. It does this using IE 5.5 but works fine when I load with netscape 4.8. Haven't tried any other browser.

We only have an S-Video hookup but using that we can't get either to work. I'm not sure we'd use it very often but might be nice to use it if need be.

I'm by far no expert on this issue but even if this were turned on my DVD player. When watching normal TV the images themselves shouldn't be as dark as they are especially with brightness as high as it is. I'll let you guys know more once I see a 2nd set.
