I finally hooked up a optical cable to my Directivo. On programming with analog sound it works fine and in the correct surround mode, when I change to a program that is in DD then it senses that and changes to the optical input, but when I change to another program and is analog the reciever go...
Johnny, I have a H/K AVR 225 and went with the JBL NSP1 package. It sounds great when mated with a good sub. I auditioned the Infinitys and the Polks and much prefered the JBL.
Brian, You won't be disappointed. I have had the NSP1 II setup for several months and love it. It was a big upgrade from what I had. The Sony sub is what I was going to get, but went with the now discontinued DLS 10. If you can pry someone fingers off a DLS 10 I would recommend it.
Morlan, I have the NSP1II and they are a great set of budget speakers. I mated mine with a DLS 10, still in the tweaking stage, but everything sounds great. I listed to the PB10, but opted for the DLS based on price and reviews here. On you next dilemma, I had the NSPs hooked up to an older...
John, I just got JBL NSP-1 setup mated with a DLS 10 and H/K 225. I kinda wish I would have went with the N28 in the front, but for the money I could not be happier. Russ
Jose, That is next on the list. Did not have time due to the wife and ongoing home improvement project. That will be done soon and then time to play with the new toys.... Russ
Tommy- I have the x-over set to 100 now, based on some info that I read here. Jose- Just got the 225 a few days ago. Love it so far, but will let ya know when I get a few more movies watched. Russ
Jeff, We are in the same boat. I just got my DLS yesterday and thought that my system (H/K 225 and JBL NSP-1) sounded good before, but I am blown away now! Thanks to the help of others here I am very happy with my new home theater system. Russ
Dean, Sound like you are happy with your purchase. I also just upgraded to the H/K 225, along with some NSP-1 and a DLS 10. The sound could not be any better for the price. I did not understand all the fuss about the sound in LOTR until I watched it with my new setup!! Russ
What is LCOS and how does it differ from DLP? Also, Are there any 3 chip DLP TVs out yet? I know the DLP in theaters are using 3 chips and was curious as to why there are no RPTVs at least to my knowledge. Russ
I am wondering if the LCD RPTV, like the Panasonic PT-45LC12, has the same problems with screen burn as CRT based RPTV. Does anyone have this model Panasonic? What about DLP based RPTV, do they get screen burn also?
