I want a player mainly for redbook CD listening, but SACD, DVD, DVD-A or changer would be a bonus. I narrowed my choices to these players. I might would have to get two players. I have no opportunity to audition most of them so I am asking your opinions which one has best redbook CD playback...
What DVD player under $1000 has the best quality audio CD playback on your opinion? Would it be one of the universal SACD/DVD-A players? I know the sound quality is subjective, but since I have no access to the majority of the players I wonder if you guys could share your experiences.

I am considering receiver purchase. Some receivers have the "all channel stereo" mode. Sometimes it's called also "Party" mode. Is it a good feature to have? It sounds as "all channel stereo" mode would make stereo sound better and more dimentional? Thanks!
