Yes, I always enjoyed that in the OT when they would get together. I always missed the rapport between Han and Luke during Ep IV when they were together so infrequently during V & VI.
I wanted to see 3D HFR now that I have seen the 2D, but I am not seeing many positives in this thread. Any chance that the 3D is making it worse and 48fps might work in 2D? I feel like that would be a better comparison.
I thought the movie was good, but the length will be much more enjoyable on my couch at home. But I did have a few questions.....why are the Orcs in the Hobbit so different from LOTR Trilogy? It that consistent with the books? Also do Goblins make another appearance in LOTR books, but not in...
I was glad to see they wrapped up Kitty's cancer last night. I was fearing this was going to drag on for ages. I know some would criticize it was too easy but we knew she would get better so why drag it out.
Wow, I just saw this on DVD and was expecting to come here and read pages of discussion. I guess the movie just generate much discussion. I thought it was okay, but I agree that movies that should be slam dunks seem to be lacking.
I agree too much angst. I understand it is a primetime drama, but they might have taken it too far. Cancer, Fraud, Multiple Money lost investment storylines, kidnapping, fraud...I have already started to lose my mind trying to list them. Oh well hopefully things getting better in the new year.
Looking at that link, the comparison of the two pictures is interesting. They cut off below the knees where the 4x3 showed their feet. Definitely a chop job there.
I know a lot of people predicted the "crop and drop", but it is surprising that it is being used on a sitcom like Seinfeld. I want the full height of Kramer's hair!!!
I think the 50" is the way to go. I recently got a 50" and I sit at a similar distance. I am confused about the wear on a new plasma though. Everything I read is that burn-in isn't an issue any more with plasmas. Is that not true?
It seems like no one liked Goode's smugness but I thought it worked well for the character. But he is so consistently criticized for the performance I thought I was the only one that liked his performance.
Wasn't "The Hulk" reboot a failure? I mean it didn't do better than the first and it seems that Ed Norton wound up being trouble. The Superman re-boot didn't go any better either. I think some characters are better on screen. A blind lawyer doesn't seem to work when compared with Tony Stark or...
I can't believe how little money this made. I know people will say it still made a profit, but I just can get over a Star Wars film making under 100 million. I have to admit I hope this send a message to George Lucas that no one is interested in this part of the storyline.
I know this isn't really part of the conversation but since you jumped so quickly. Sean Connery is British. Scotland is a Home Nation, a member of Great Britain. It is the British Monarchy not the English Monarchy.
I liked "The Verve" back when they were just "Verve". :) Urban Hymns is okay, but I really enjoy their earlier stuff like She's a Superstar and Man Called Sun.
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=19191 This is a bummer!! I also feel like it is a bit of a spoiler as well. Hopefully, he was misquoted.
