update: I've put this up on sale at ebay if anyone is interested. Do a search on ebay for Sencore CP288 and you'll find it if you are looking to purchase one. Thanks, Tom H.
LOL, I guess I should put up what I'm asking for it ;-) Sencore lists refurbed price of the 288 at $1495. I'll take $800 or best offer. I'll be happy to pay for shipping with insurance if someone buys at my asking price. Course was very good, a bit expensive for someone who isn't planning...
Sencore CP288 Color Analyzer for sale. I purchased it about a year ago after taking an ISF class and don't need it anymore. Includes the color analyzer pod, software, and sencore case if you wish to have that as well. Please PM or email me with any questions. Thanks! Tom H...
Hi all, I'm trying to find a film I saw years ago filmed in China. It's about a girl who's father is a seamstress, and the girl is being shipped out to the boon-docks because of some funky government thing. She gets sent out thinking that she's going because everyone loves her, but ends up...
A lot of good ideas! Thanks everyone for your input. My only problem with the changers, even the ones that fit 400 disks is that at some point I know I'll fill them all up, then I'm back to where I was a few months ago, most of my DVD's were in my old changer, and all the new stuff was on...
thanks for the suggestions. I used to have a Sony 300 disk mega-changer and outgrew that. I also realized that at some point I'd outgrow any amount of changers I could have. I'd rather pour money into a better quality DVD player then a changer anyway. I'm hoping for a cheaper solution more...
Allright all you large collection owners (you know who you are). I might not meet up to the level as some of you, but I'm pushing 400 titles right now (many more to come), with a few small children running (and crawling) around the house. I currently use floor-standing shelving that I've had to...
I got in the wall-mounted 72 dvd rack in the power coated black finish. Really nice Mouting hardware leaves something to be desired, would be nice to be able to move it around easier if the need arises. So far really like it, and keeps those dvd's out of the hands of my kids. did...
I recently went on a shopping spree to upgrade everything I have. Panasonic 53WX53 HD Widescreen RPTV TiVo Series 2 80 GB DVR Samsung 351 OTA HD Tuner Pioneer Elite 53TX Reciever 7.1 Setup of 25 Series Klipsh Speakers SVS 20-39 Subwoofer Denon 1600 DVD Player I also have on order a...
Sounds like your red is set too high. Info at panny.tv will help you get in and adjust your Red. A basic calibration from an ISF certified tech would be able to correct that, and shouldn't cost too much just to fix that problem. Be careful inside the service menus though. You could mess up a...
Hi all. I live in Chandler, AZ and would prefer to not have to ship this TV outside of the metro Pheonix Area. This TV is a 32" Samsung Direct View. 6 Months old, taken excellent care of. Remote and manual included. Bought it thinking I'd be happy with the size, but ended up eventually...
cool! thanks for the help. I'm thinking about getting the Boltz wall-mountable rack to store DVD's so that means that the 76 DVD's that it can store would run about 27 lbs. Supposedly the hangers are rated at 50 lbs, so that should work out just fine. Anyone have any experience with the Boltz...
So since Neo was already in the train station/matrix lying on the table in the infirmary, how did he get jacked in (Trinity un-jacked him) after he went back to the real world after seeing the Oracle? To my knowledge he never left the Matrix, cause he had to see her before it was too late...
Hi all. I'm trying to figure out some decent storage for my ever-growing collection of DVD's. However, one of the racks I'm thinking of would hang on the wall. Anyone know the weight of an "average" dvd (case, pamphlet or two, and two disks) that I could use to estimate the weight? better yet...
Oh! my other favorite part is that Carrie-Anne FINALLY got to get her single-shot flip off the wall correct (those of you that watched Matrix Revisited will understand what I'm talking about). I felt proud for her with that scene! Thanks, Tom H.
I saw Revolutions last night, and I thought it was a great movie. I was riveted to the screen for all but a few minutes (darn weak bladder). I thought the ending was fitting to the entire series. I loved the fight sequences, as well as the little things they threw in for us (Neo running out...
I want to personally thank Jeffrey Kern for his highly insightful article in the latest DVD ETC magazine (showed up today). While I may not have amassed as large a collection as you, you pinned my Tuesday DVD habits to a T. I'm so bad that I have scheduled in my Outlook (so I get the nice...
Ryan, I personally calibrate my own TV's (I'm ISF Certified with the proper equipment) but you could find someone in your area that does them by going to www.imagingscience.com. ISF calibration is one of the best things you can have done to your display to make it reproduce colors and images...
I was at Best Buy today for lunch and saw they had a box the size of the new computer game boxes. Home Theater Tune-up it said on it. Picked it up and looked carefully at it. Looks like all it contains is a copy of S&V Home Theater Tune-up. Price they wanted for it: $40! anyone know if I...
Mitsubishi sells displays with Firewire and built-in tuners. Not sure on their specific models, but most TV's that display 1080i natively will upconvert any 720p signal passed to it. Hope that helps!
I recently picked up the Panasonic 53WX53 at best buy for $1599. $100 Mail in rebate too! has all the latest gadgets including DVI input. Get this thing calibrated and I think you will see that it can look at good as a $3000 Sony. It has a screen protector (I have kids) but that can be removed...
the way most of the 6.1 (or 7.1 for that matter) recievers work is they take the two surround inputs, and run those two signals through Dolby ProLogic to split it up into the rears versus the sides, unless of course you actually get a movie encoded in 6.1 Hope that helps!
Well, I've confirmed that it must the be the timing. After some testing, If I change inputs too soon after the TV has turned on (you hear the screen charge) I have to wait a little while after the picture appears to change inputs. Since making my macro take longer, I have had no problems with...
Hi all, I've owned the old Sony 200 Disk MegaChanger and am very happy with it so far. I currently have about 150 DVD's and no room to store all the cases, so I'm very happy with the decision to keep them all in a changer. However, now that I have a better TV to display them on, I'm looking for...
Both my front speakers are mounted on the ceiling so they shouldn't be doing anything. I do have the center channel on top of the monitor, but when this happened, there was no discoloration on the top, only on the sides. I also have had this same speaker on the top of my old Sony 27" for a...
