ok, well... i ended up getting a good deal on a climate controlled storage unit, so... i went with it. and since it's inside, i packed the cases into regular moving boxes. all my dvds (well most of em :D) are now in two 224 cd binders. the bad part is they're almost FULL!!! heheh. thanks...
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!!! Mark - That was above and beyond the call of duty!!! :D THANKS!!! That particular place isn't close to me, but that definitely helps give me an idea of prices and such. More reasonable than I expected, honestly. Once I get to packing "in earnest"...
AH-HA!!! Nice idea!! I'm sure that would protect against moisture at least better than a cardboard box. Of course it would be more expensive... but definitly a good suggestion!! Thanks.
Mike - Thanks for the reply. As for conditions... I live in NC, so... it's not too much of an extreme either way. I wasn't planning on getting a climate controlled storage unit. They'll be in moving type boxes. I'd say the heat worries me more than moisture, since I would think the storage...
I'm going to be moving soon and will be gone for 18 months, maybe more. I was planning on putting some of my things in storage and was concerned about my DVDs and their cases. What I will probably do is buy a couple of 200 cd cases, and just put the discs in those and take them with. I just...
Am I the only one who thinks they're setting up David's attacker as the killer? Reasons I think this: a. He has an M.O. of hitching and rolling the victim. b. He apparently is in jail according to the preview. So... David goes to visit the guy, the guy starts talking about all the...
I thought it sucked pretty bad. All of the 'modern updates' (Matt being black and gay, many of the parents being single parents rather than couples, etc) were not necessary and did nothing to make it seem more current. The changes to the Ben character made him a completely different person. The...

haha. i wondered the same thing. did a google search and apparently its a house thats built with no buyer in mind, thus its built on spec(ulation). i'd never heard the term either.
i just saw a tv spot for vol 2!! woah. good stuff. more footage than the teasers. i caught it by accident and saved was tivo'ing it, so... it will be rewatched, that's for sure!!!
just got the set tonight. haven't watched it yet, but reading this thread got me curious about the packaging. I LOVE IT!!! it's so freakin' cool!!! i can also see how it may break down over time. especially since i can't stop playing with it. :b can't wait until i can sit down and watch the...
Does anyone (who hasn't read the spcript and actually knows) have any thoughts as to whether or not the Bride knows that her daughter is alive? I guess at first I kinda assumed she didn't, but while watching the movie for the third time, when the Bride says to Vernita's daughter "I HAD a...
John, I've had my 20gb Zen for about two weeks now and love it. Got it for $199 (got $100 off of it when I bought it with my new laptop), and could not be happier with the purchase. Especially considering that to get something near that size in an ipod I would have had to spend twice as much...
Mine came out fine. I was worried after reading this thread, but it came out and went back a couple of times so far and no damage. But I agree that it's not the best design. Mine could have just as easily mangled the hell out of the keepcase.
Did anyone else pre-order DAD from Best Buy and not get their bonus DVD? I got DAD today, but no Bond Girls disc. I have an email into Customer Service, but just wanted to see if I was alone.
One good reason is that the syndicated versions have A LOT cut from them, especially Friends. Sienfeld too, but to a lesser degree. The DVD versions of Friends are uncut, and in many cases have ADDITIONAL footage. I too have multiple shows on DVD, but still watch all of them syndicated or in...
DANG!! When I called in to get the return auth for the F80, I told the guy I had been looking for the CP72 and he didnt say anything about any S&D ones. Oh well. Like I said I may have been leary of picking up another S&D item after the F80 experience. But the CP72 is on their webiste now...
Steven, Good luck with the CP72 from Crutchfield's S&D. I was looking for a CP72 when they ran out of stock a couple of weeks back. I ended up getting a JVC F80 from S&D, which wouldn't open and had to be sent back. I wish they'd had the CP72 in S&D to replace the F80. Although I would have...
Well this is just my luck... I had found a coupon for $20 off at Crutchfield, and was gonna use a referral code for another $20 off, and then the $30 rebate, making my net cost like $129 or so. But I was waiting to get my tax money, which I did today. So I go to Crutchfield's site to order it...
Ok, I have a new question now... I did a bit more research on the Pannys and found that the CP67 also offers the $30 MIR, and Crutchfield has that one in black for $159, so that's only $129 after rebate! The only posotives I see that the 72 has that the 67 doesn't are 1. it has the DTS decoder...
Thanks, Kevin. You know... I have no idea how I missed the 72. And I also thought the rebate ended. So the 72 is a possibitlity. The one thing that would keep me from getting it... and I know this seems trivial, but I wanted the player to be black so it would match the rest of my equipment...
Hey all. Thought I'd get some opinions before making my next HT purchase. I'm looking for a 5+ DVD changer with progressive scan capabilities. I don't have an HDTV just yet, but hopefully by the end of the year. But the DVD player in my bedroom crapped out on me, so I figured I'd go ahead and...
