Going nuts trying to figure out which RPTV to get for games and all else

Don't know what the price range is here, but if your worried about burn-in, why not go with a Sony Grand Wega LCD? As soon as I build up enough cash I will probably get one as I'm too nervous to have 6 hour gaming sessions like I used to on my 36" tube. Hell, there's a game coming out next month...

Don't count on that upgrade Bob. I just called Onkyo and they said that they will have a solution posted on thier website "probably within 2 weeks". They also said that they have gotten a few calls on the matter and are investigating it.

Component switching using A/V switch boxes

I've heard that you can use a simple $20 A/V switch box for component video switching. Has anyone tried this? If you have was there any signal degradation (visible to the naked eye)? I don't like the idea of paying >$200 for the component switcher I've settled on... Thanks Fahnon

Need opinions on Sony HTiB and upgrading

I have a Sony HT-DDW740 HTiB. I need opinions on whether I should upgrade the speakers. I like the sound as it is, but I can get the Onkyo HT-500 speaker set which I hear is awesome. My question is this: Would I get noticably better sound with the Onkyo ($270 better) or is what I have close to...

$1300-1400 for HDTV. What do you recommend???

Crazy Eddie has it for $1560. They also have the 47" model for around $200 less. As for the warranty, I havn't come across one that covers burn-in. That's almost universally considered a result of abuse. My research tells me, though, that if you get a calibration tool like Avia you minimise the...
