    Last Action Hero SE?

Count me in as well. I left the theater feeling underwhelmed, but I appreciated this movie more upon subsequent viewings. Definitely a fun spoof flick.

Any differences between two "Judgment Night" DVDs?

Can anyone confirm that the Universal version's aspect ratio is 2.35:1? The Goodtimes version is indeed 1.78:1 (which is definitely incorrect, according to imdb.com).

    Midnite Movies going OOP?

Anyone have a list of the different Midnite Movies 2-Packs?

Any differences between two "Judgment Night" DVDs?

I have the Goodtimes version of Judgment Night, the underrated Emilio Estevez/Cuba Gooding Jr/Denis Leary movie. It's the one that comes in a snapper case. Are there any differences between that version and the re-release by Universal? Is there a better transfer on the latter version or anything...

DVD Review HTF Review: The Village (Recommended)

Excellent review of what I consider the worst film of the year (and I did see Catwoman). The acting (Bryce Dallas Howard aside) and dialogue were so laughably bad that it was impossible for me not to cringe throughout this entire disaster of a movie. William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Joaquin...

Missing scene(s) in "Leap of Faith" DVD?

I'm a huge fan of the underrated Steve Martin classic Leap of Faith. One of the things I remember most about the movie is a scene where they show the different tricks of the trade - how they rig the statues to cry, etc. However, that scene was nowhere to be found on the DVD. (NOTE: I'm not...

    Question about storing DVDs horitzontally

Derek, Heh, not to worry, I didn't take offense at all - I knew what you meant. :) I need to rearrange my collection pronto to get everything vertically stacked. Figuring out how to work with limited shelf space (the reason I had most of my stuff horizontally stacked to begin with) is...

    Question about storing DVDs horitzontally

Derek, Thanks a lot for that link. It was very helpful and informative. I am confused about something you said elsewhere in this thread though: Does that mean that I shouldn't horizontally stack my DVD cases one on top of the other? That's what I've been doing. Is that harmful?

    Question about storing DVDs horitzontally

I found this question on another board (no responses yet) and I was wondering the same thing, so I'm posting it here: Most of my DVD cases (and thus DVDs) are stored horizontally, but I heard that this method of storage isn't as safe and may lead to DVD rot. Any truth to that? Is vertical...

If you have Punky Brewster Season 1, can you confirm an error on the first disc?

I just e-mailed Shout about a Glomer's Story replacement disc. How long did it take you guys to get yours?

I'm Depressed. Can you recommend a good comedy DVD to cheer me up

When I was going through a hard time last year, Rat Race was a Godsend. It's one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.

    Bad Lieutenant?

I got it from Best Buy with Young Americans for $12, but that was a special from well over a year ago. I think you can get Bad Lieutenant by itself for under $10 at most places. I am somewhat conflicted about the movie, but I cannot deny that it's very powerful. As for Young Americans, it's...

Do you get ID'd when you buy movies?

I was carded at Wal-Mart too - for Freddy vs. Jason. It struck me as a bit strange since I don't think I look that young anymore, but oh well. :) It's obviously some kind of WM policy and the cashiers probably just card almost everyone due to sheer laziness instead of actually having to use...

Can the Playstation 2 play DVD-R discs?

Can the PS2's DVD player play DVD-R discs? I'm asking because I'm interested in buying a movie that doesn't have official distribution yet (First of May) but has been put on a DVD-R disc by the director/producer for the people who are interested in buying it. Thanks.

    VoB dates

Actually, never mind: For some reason, the .vob extension isn't showing up, but I searched .vob in the disc dir and a bunch of files came up w/ the correct dates. Thanks again for your help and patience. I have to say that this board is AWESOME. Within a minute or two, I had a reply to my topic...

    VoB dates

Hmmm, for some odd reason, I don't have any files with .vob extensions, just .bup and .ifo - but they all have the Jan. 2001 date that the corrected widescreen Annies are supposed to have, so am I safe?

    VoB dates

Thanks. I popped it into my DVD-ROM and all of the disc file dates say Jan. 2001, but how do I know which file is the VOB one? (Yeah, I know I sound like a total newb and rube here - I apologize.) In case you need this info, it's in relation to the old widescreen version of Annie (I didn't...

    The Official DVD Discoveries Thread

Hmmm...is there ANY reason why one of my posts and a reply to that post (from someone else) were both deleted? I took time out of my day to give Paul feedback about the parts of the disc that I had seen (complimentary feedback no less), and the other person took his time to craft an intelligent...

    The Official DVD Discoveries Thread

A suggestion for Paul Russell... From what I understand, DVD Discoveries sales have been soft thus far. Why not send free review copies to all of the major DVD review sites? That would get the word out to hundreds, maybe thousands, of new potential customers that never would've known about...

    DVD Discoveries

The DVD sounds like a great deal, but I have a question about something that I'm a bit confused on. The press release (http://www.dvddiscoveries.com/press/081502.html), lists a lot more features than what's in the "On The Disc/DVD Features" section (http://www.dvddiscoveries.com/content.html)...

Questions about E.T. and Jurassic Park DVD problems

Anthony H, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Kyle, I appreciate the heads-up on the "search" feature. You're right... it's very useful. I just did searches on E.T. and Jurassic Park (just to see what people said originally), and I found what I was looking for right away.

How is "White Men Can't Jump" on DVD?

I have it, and according to the back of the case, the aspect ratio is indeed 1:85:1 (Anamorphic Widescreen). I've watched the DVD once already, and everything looks great to me. Sharp picture, rich colors, etc.

Questions about E.T. and Jurassic Park DVD problems

I know it's old news, and I apologize if it has been discussed to death already (I'm new to the forum), but in the huge Back to the Future thread, there are a few vague mentions of the E.T. "debacle" and a problem with the Jurassic Park DTS DVD, but nothing concrete was said about either to give...
