I dont know a lot of what Im doing, but I have fiddled around in the service menus a number of times. I need to fix some geometry problems this time, but dont know what the names in the service menu stand for.I have a picture that has a curve right down the middle of the screen that I cant get...
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the service menu codes(what the names in service menu) stand for. Its a Samsung txl3676.It may be the same codes for txk3276,txl3276,txk3676 models.
Thanks Troy, that sounds right about pincushion. Now I have to find what the name of it is. I do have experience, after a lot of trial and error.Colors took me yrs to figure out how to adjust them right. thanks again
I got a 32inch,5yr old Samsung tube tv,and its great after adjusting the colors in service menu. Only problem so far is that everything looks big in the middle, but the top and bottom of screen everything is small.I tried fixing it with the vertical slope (possibly same as vertical linearity)...
Thanks for the help. I have some gray cards in a photography book. Not sure if that is the same? What kind of light should be shining "on the gray cards" when adjusting tv?
I picked up a Daylight labeled flourescent bulb, which I was told by the employee was 6500k.I adjusted the colors comparing the bulb too the tv.After adjusting it the screen is way too blue!   i will phone back, and check again.
Ive been playing around with the colors for quite a few months, and in my opinion you have too get enough sunlight too condition your eyes in order too make good adjustments. tvs look more blue at night.ive had too tone down the blues at night.most tv is watches at night.i guess the different...
i adjusted like above post. my tv is gray,so i push the tv video, and it gives a blank screen, turn up brightness so i can see what tint it is,then adjust it till i get gray screen.its easy too do.it might not be perfect, but i learned as i was adjusting that its the relation between the cuts...
i found when adjusting colors that getting the best yellow was hard on the color bars pattern.it was too green.trying for good reds and yellows is a simple way of doing aadjustments for colors.getting a good yellow without too much red push.basically turning the reds and blues up as much as...
does anyone know why my tvs green gun keeps changing.the green goes real strong sometimes, then theres no green.this has happened on 2 sets now.they are older sets with adjustments done with a screwdriver.
The geometry is out on it.The vertical linearity, shapes are distorted.Faces are not the right shape(faces are short and scrunched up). When the credits scroll at the end of a movie the size of the letters changes as its going up the screen.Football field lines are not straight. Ive done all...
i was hoping for a defenite answer on whether you can get into the sanyo service mode or even adjust it inside the set.thanks for that info.where did you get that from?
just looked in store, and seen the exact same tv made by citizen and electrohome. It had a silver front, but everything else was exactly the same. Anyone know how too get into the service menu for citizen/electrohome/memorex?
I have a Memorex 32 inch TV.It does have some geometry problems curvy, wavy lines, and also the faces look scrunched like the vertical linearity is out.Its acceptable and for $500 a good deal I think.
I took it apart and the only adjustments I seen are on the picture tube for focus and screen...
The best way Ive made adjustments with the colors of a tv are too look at it with the color knob turned right down. Then LOOK TOO SEE IF THERE IS A DOMINANT COLOR on the black and white picture. If you cant notice a dominant color then leave it alone unless you are experienced. If there is,then...
