A couple days ago, French Blu-ray label "Le Chat Qui Fume" posted on Facebook:
We are very pleased to announce the restoration of an almost lost film. INCUBUS by Leslie Stevens 1966 with William Shatner. A film, shot in Esperanto, almost lost since all the copies burned in a fire. All but 2...
Theatrical release of Voyage of the Damned (1976) runs 155 minutes. However, a version running 182 minutes was shown on TV and released on VHS (in 1980 from Magnetic Video).
Great news! I'm so glad Warner decided for a physical media release. For a while there, I was worried that it would be streaming only.
I wonder if the Blu-ray will include this restoration doc as an extra...
On March 4th, Warner released the restored Shazam! episodes for streaming purchase on YouTube.

C'mon Blu-ray announcement! Fingers crossed.
Warner/DC posted a video promoting the recent restoration of Shazam! (jump ahead to 4:23 in the video)...
Makes me wonder if we'll be seeing a Blu-ray release sometime soon. Also, makes me wonder if it would be possible to restore the other live action shows from Filmation (all of which...
I use a scaler to hide Japanese subtitles when they are below the picture frame on a LaserDisc. The one I have is the DVDO iScan VP20, and the feature is referred to as "borders."
I believe this is the synopsis for the final week of Forever Fernwood:
Week 26 (March 27 1978 to Mar 31 1978)
From Soap Opera Scene by Steven H. Schueuer (Winnipeg Free Press):
Penny is finally secure with Tom and agrees to marriage. Battling for Martha, Mel also tangles with George’s ghost...
Shout Factory cut out a 5 minute scene that takes place in a bar with Johnny Cash music playing in the background. Music licensing fees prevented the inclusion of this scene.
Episode 2 of Fantastic Journey opens with a re-cap of episode 1. I'm guessing GET aired ep.2 immediately after ep.1, so no need for the re-cap (and more time for commercials).
I completely agree with everything you said. Cushman put together a good 1st draft, but it needed to be proof-read by a few hardcore fans before ever seeing print. How hard is that in the age of the internet?
I knew it would not be the definitive book as soon as I saw the cover. Why in the...
I'm responsible for the smilebox trailer on youtube. I sourced it from the laserdisc, de-interlaced it, applied some color correction, and added the smilebox effect. I'm a fan of everything George Pal did and wanted to bring awareness to the lack of an HD release for this title.
I put together a video covering the history of home video releases for Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (TV series only, not the motion picture). I ramble on quite a bit, but hopefully you guys enjoy it. Here is the link:
Lost In Space is at the top of my list. The DVD releases really don't look that good (especially compared to the beautiful quality seen on the DVD releases of Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea). So, a remastered blu-ray release should prove quite a step up in...
Shout Factory replied to my message...

We are actually aware of that issue.
All the masters will be original!!
Thanks for reaching out!

To understand what went wrong with the Sony release we have to start back at the very, very beginning…
Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman premiered on January 5th 1976 (at least on stations which were early adopters of this syndicated soap opera spoof). It ran weekdays (i.e. five episodes per week) with...
I finally figured out the strange edits on three episodes of the DVD set from Sony. To understand what happened we have to start back at the very, very beginning… Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman premiered on January 5th 1976 (at least on stations which were early adopters of this syndicated soap...
I picked up the DVD release from Australia from Madman Entertainment. It is a four DVD set and it looks perfect. No aspect ratio issues, not overly compressed, etc. I wish they would do a BD release as well.

Regarding the color pilot, does anyone know if the VHS release from Columbia House featured the correct opening titles? Also, how does one recognize the color pilots' correct opening titles vs. what is on the DVD release?
