Quick qeestion about firmware updating for my 3808ci. I have never attempted anything like this before so this may seem like a stupid question. Do I have to use an Ethernet cable or can I use a USB Flash drive and load it from that?
I would like to inform everyone of BrianBo who is a bad trader. I bought this Rotel CD player from him and it arrived non functional. He admitted to not testing out the unit before shipping. I asked him to split the repair bill with me and he would not.
Hi, does anyone know if there is a small computer screen (maybe 8 or 9 inches) available that would take a composite video or super video connection to use as an OSD. Something kind of like the Rotel 1098 screen but maybe a little bigger.
Thanks for all of the responces guys/gals. I bought a pair of B&W 704's today. Went a little over my $600 budget. And didn't even get bookshelves. LOL!
I forgot to add that I did in fact listen to the CM1 and was not crazy about them for the price. I can see $1500 for the 700 series though. I will check out those links. Thanks for the responces so far :)
I haven't been into HT in awhile but just moved into a new house and can't use my Def Tech towers due to size. Looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers and would like to spend about $600. Could go a little higher if needed. I listened to a pair of 700 series?? B&W's today and REALLY liked them...
I just noticed that the lighted plug on surge protector is flickering. I looked in the owners manual and it doesn't mention anything. I did a search on here and couldn't find any info. It is the Monster 5000 MKII(?)..I think. Can this thing be reset? Is it toast?
I don't have any experiance with seperate amps but I recently purchased some cables from www.boldercables.com (m-80 speaker cables and a digital coax) and the build quality on these are fantanstic and they sound great. Wayne is a very good guy to deal with, plus he has a return policy if you...
I have purchased a couple of pairs of speakers on Ebay. Never had a problem and I am still using them in my setup. As others have stated, just check they're feedback.:emoji_thumbsup:
I have a 20-39PCi and I can honestly say it's the best $$ I have spent on my setup. Other things have been replaced/"uprgraded" but I still have the same SVS.:emoji_thumbsup:
Well, I went ahead and plugged it into the "thump" outlet early yesterday morning and it seems to have gone away now. I guess whatever that problem is/was the HTS5000 is regulating it?
There are some good deals out there right now on Pioneer Elite if you really want THX. Probably about half of what you are looking at spending. That would give you enough leftover for an SVS:D
It's a bathroom light. I'm going do it tomorrow since I have to pull my TV out anyway and I will be back there messing around. Thanks for the response.
Retail on the PS Audio website is $899. Have the original box. Also have the 8 brand new spades that go with them and about a dozen banana connectors as well. Here's a link: http://www.psaudio.com/products/xstream_speaker.asp These are the Plus cables which are the middle of the line. These...
Sorry, should have been more clear. I used to have a plain surge protector plugged into the closest wall outlet. When I turn off a certain light in the house, it would make the subwoofer "thump". When I installed the HTS 5000 I used a different wall outlet to plug the HTS5000 into because I have...
I have a Monster HTS5000 MKII, the plug closest to it would sometimes make my powered sub that was plugged into it "thump" when I turn off a light in another part of the house. So when I installed the HTS5000 I just used the next plug(which doesn't have this problem) but now the power cord is...
