I tried this week the small setting and the bass in my opinion was not as uniform as if the setting was on large.So my set-up stayed on large. I also tried the lfe+mains and the boost was too much.So large it stays. I guess it also depends on your front speakers and how low they go mine hit 42...

I tried analog out from my nakamichi mb8 cd player ( i was hook up optical out ) and notice an improvement : the sound is less bright and the bass is rounder and better. Does that mean that the dacs from the Nak are better than the one's in my 3803.

You should make all test tones as equal as possible with an spl meter is possible. Then when watching movies you can adjust as you like.

Yes you should adjust the center channel only,it sometimes happens that some movies require minor adjustments,sometimes its the surround channels, sometimes the center,You'll get used to it.Tweaking to get the ultimate sound

Hi Jaydee When you did initial set up if you used Mcacc it detected that you had no sb's,Therefore wont auto detect. Have you tried putting the sb's on manually,via the small button on the panel door in front of the receiver.I'm not sure this will solve the problem but could be a solution. I...
