Can you use paint for a LCD screen ?

a long time ago (almost a year ago?) somebody here posted a huge and marvelous review on different paints and surfaces to use. lots of pictures. I never got to read the final review and I've been trying to locate the thread... anyone still have it? I'm pretty sure it was on this forum. if so...

I got a free screen, material and roller only.

Randy, about your question... The Da-Mat material does not require tensioning, so you should have no problem mounting that to a wall. I would seperate it from the old roller mechanism and build a simple frame to hold it. Then buy some thick black material (felt?) to go around the border so you...

I got a free screen, material and roller only.

I would like to add a question to this thread. I am also building my first HT in the basement and have my projector but need a 60"x80" screen. My concern is the center channel. I have 3 options: 1)pay twice as much for "acousticly transparent" screen 2)save money, buy Da-Mat, and put center...

Infinity IL40's and Interlude 6 Speaker Package

The plate is not used for biwiring, it is used for "normal wiring" If you look at your binding posts (as I did at CCity) around the base you will see a gold plated metal plate that you probably never thought twice about. Under normal wiring, you would only run one set of wire and you can connect...

Infinity IL40's and Interlude 6 Speaker Package

CCity had it hooked up to a HK 520 receiver, should have been more than adaquate. None of the speakers in that room sounded very good compared to the JBL, Sony and Yamaha that I had listened to at BB earlier in the day. It wasn't even close, so something must have been wrong with their setup...

Infinity IL40's and Interlude 6 Speaker Package

Steve, You mentioned your receiver had not enough power. I am looking at either the Kenwood vr6070 (100x6) or Panasonic SA-HE200 (130x6) I think either of those 2 would be strong enough??? For those interested, here's a few speaker stats: IL40: 8"CMMD, 4"CMMD, 1" CMMD, 8ohm, 15-175watts...
